SUSSEX SPRINGERS
15th May 2002
Dear All
The year passes so quickly and you are all progressing so fast. It is great for Gemma and I and for you and your families to see. Well done.
Gemma Olliver, Carol Comber, Jeff Paul, Keith Broadley and Alan Pierce have kindly agreed to do a Swescore Computer Operator course at Gillingham on Sunday, 19th May. The club will therefore have 5 more qualified officials. This means that when entering future competitions, the club will not be obliged to pay a penalty fee for not having enough qualified officials. Thank you all very much.
The next grade 3-5 competition is fast approaching. It is to be held at the Jumpers Rebound Centre at Gillingham (again!) on Sunday, 9th June so good luck to those of you entering. Apologies to those of you who were hoping to do the grade 6 at Peacehaven on 21st April. Unfortunately, it was cancelled and we were not informed until very late in the day. Orbital Stars Trampoline Club in Crawley (formerly Lynx) are planning to hold a grade 6 competition in the near future, so we will let you know about that as soon as possible.
The summer training camp is now booked and looks set to be a great weekend. The dates are 6th and 7th July and the programme of events is being compiled at present. An itinerary of the weekend will be sent out very soon. The training will take place at the University of Sussex and the overnight accommodation is at the YHA, Patcham Place, Brighton, on a bed and breakfast basis. The booking has been made for 18 young people and 6 adults. Gemma, Stella, Phil Comber and Keith Broadley are 4 adults and 2 more women are required to stay, so if you feel you could cope with a sleepless Saturday night, please let us know! The cost for the weekend inclusive of all meals, drinks, evening fun and games and bed and breakfast accommodation is £75. If your child is not staying overnight but is taking part in everything else, the cost is £60 for the weekend. For those of you who are staying overnight, please indicate on the attached reply slip what you would like for breakfast.
Happy bouncing!
Stella and Gemma
