Course Description

This is a sophomore survey course of English literature covering the Middle Ages up to the eighteenth century. Particular attention will be given to major English authors but we will try hard to include minor ones as well. Although this course is mainly designed for the first-time reader of early English literature, it will also bring new perspectives to those who have already had some experiences in it.
