SERVICE DELIVERY OBJECTIVE:
Catering Services at Minda provides a Catering service to accommodated Individuals at Minda’s Brighton site, including Day Placements and Services offered by Minda. Catering Services also provides a catering services to external Agencies
JOB ROLE AND OBJECTIVE:
The role of the Supported Employee Coordinator is to provide support and assistance to supported employees, coordinate, complete and maintain all documentation and supported employee files to the standard required to comply with funding requirements.
The Supported Employee Co-ordinator is also responsible for the provision of training to supported employees and to assist where necessary with all tasks related to the operation of Catering Services.
KEY RESULT AREAS (KRA):
The KRAs of the role include, but are not limited to:
Service Delivery:
· Provide site induction and orientation into Catering Services for new supported employees
· Coordinate training for supported employees in catering operations
· Contribute to the deliver of training to supported employees
· Contribute to the efficient performance of all tasks related to the operation of Catering Services
Administration
· Complete and maintain per individual requirements, all documentation, including employee files and training records, required by the DSS contract and DESQA standards
Teamwork / Working Relationships:
· Continue to promote safe systems of work to reduce lost time frequency
· Monitor and report any feedback to line manager for Minda reporting purposes
· Assist with coordination of training through the Head Chef and Cooks to be implemented by kitchen assistants who inturn complete records relating to supported employees ensuring that expected standards are maintained
People Leadership
· Ensure the consistent implementation of service delivery outcomes to direct report
· Take responsibility for one’s own and/or one’s team’s performance by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals and ensuring feedback and addressing performance problems and issues promptly.
· Coordinate team members in routine daily care of supported employees.
· Coordinate duties and prioritise activities for team members to ensure all daily activities are completed efficiently and effectively
· Ensure the effective communication within the team is maintained at all times and address any conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDE:
Demonstrable Skills and Competencies
· Understanding of people with an intellectual disability, including experience in supporting and people with an intellectual disability.
· Ability to co-ordinate and manage people effectively to achieve goals
· Sound time management skills
· Ability to deliver results both independently and as part of a team
· Computer literacy and sound report writing skills.
· An understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1986
· An understanding of HACCP principles or HACCP training will be highly regarded
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
· Certificate III in Disability or a relevant related qualification
· Department of Community and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Clearance Certificate
· South Australian Drivers Licence
Desirable:
· Knowledge of HACCP or HACCP training
· A Senior First Aid Certificate
