Posters are displayed in an area we call the Learning Zone. The Learning Zone is a place to exchange ideas. Your work will interest others even if it is not complete, because it is the ingenuity of your idea that may spark other people into following your lead.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view the posters following registration and during refreshment and lunch breaks.

Selected posters are also displayed at our other major events.

There will be lots of opportunities for people to see your poster!

Cost reduction is important for the NHS but the intention is that posters will focus on other aspects of medicines optimisation such as increased value to patients and the healthcare economy.

What subjects are suitable for a poster?

We would expect the poster to describe the advantages for patients - though, of course, work that did not produce expected benefits is also of interest. It would be helpful if you think of an answer to the question "How is the treatment of patients better because of what I've done?"

We are particularly interested in work that involves partners or crosses boundaries. Pathway redesign, innovative methods of delivery, and practical support from industry are all examples of factors that will give your work additional appeal.

It doesn't necessarily matter if someone is doing the same work elsewhere. In previous years we presented posters on similar topics. There are sure to be differences of approach that mean that both posters are valuable to the audience.

Important information
Size of Poster
Posters are all A0 size (1189 x 841 mm), portrait format
Printing and logistics
We ask that presenters have their posters printed locally so that they have direct control of the process. We also ask that hard copies are sent to our event manager prior to the day, and that following the event, the presenter takes the poster away with them.
What support is available for posters?

We can provide you with a mentor who will help you to convert your proposal into a poster. We have templates and an advice pack to help you do so - though we strongly recommend that you personalise the templates.

What is the submission process for posters?

Please lodge the attached submission form by 7th July 2017, but earlier completion is helpful for both sides; it enables us to plan adequate support if you want it and it allows you to get on with the poster without having to worry about the submission process.

We use the form to assess whether your project is likely to be of interest. Please understand that venue capacity means that we may have to prioritise between submissions, and we use your submission form for that purpose. If we are not able to accept your submission, we will explain why.

Detailed results are not necessary. The synopsis will be used in publicity materials to attract interest in your work, and to encourage attendance. Attendees will receive a list of posters with the synopses in advance of the day so they can make a note of the posters they want to prioritise.

Please note that we always correspond with a single contact, so if your work is produced by a team we will ask you to nominate one person for correspondence. This will be published on the website.

The boxes on the submission form expand as necessary. As a guide, no more than 200 words per box should be needed. Delegates will use your synopsis to decide which posters they especially want to see, so please give enough detail to assist that choice - but you may wish to leave out the results or people may decide they do not need to hear you in order to get them! Please note that we may amend your synopsis before we use it. This helps us to create consistency across the submissions.

Key submission dates:
