Professional Experience

Ewar Rivera is an alumnus of the University of Puerto Rico where he pursued and undergraduate degree in Architecture and currently holds a Master Degree in Marketing. He also completed the Supply Chain Logistics Management Program from Michigan State University one of the top Logistics programs in the United States. He is currently the Supply Chain Operations Director for PR, Caribbean Region and included responsibilities in Latin America for DHL, the largest Third Party Logistics Provider in the World. He has over 20 years of experience in supply chain operations both locally as well as in the US.

He has developed his leadership abilities from his days as an officer in the US Army-Corps of Engineers through his different operational roles in several Fortune 500 companies with which he has been associated in his career.

His responsibilities have or include: Leading people, responsibility over financial performance, business growth, innovation, social responsibility, talent recruiting and development, cost saving initiatives, key performance indicators, environmental responsibility and implementation of business strategies among others.

Ewar has held responsibility for operations that exceed the $20 million dollars in annual revenue providing solutions that include warehousing, transportation, air and ocean cargo, packaging and strategy to many multinational customers such as: Pepsi, McDonald’s, Lexmark, Kimberly-Clark, J&J. Cannon, Hershey’s, Colgate, Unilever, P&G, 3M, HP and others.

He is currently working on staring up an operation in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico that will provide inbound to manufacturing supply chain support to a global aerospace customer, a rapid-growth sector in the Island’s economic growth strategy.

Additionally he has been recognized on several occasions as “People to Watch” and “Influential Businessman” in the industry. He has led his organization in the selection of “Mejores Patronos de Puerto Rico” for four years in a row. As well as having the Puerto Rico DHL operations selected as the best DHL operation to work for in the Americas in 2011.

He is currently married and has 3 children, two of them completed undergraduate studies in the UPR and one will be a freshman in Rio Piedras this year.
