Supplementary Regulations –61stAnniversary REJEX Classic Rally, July 30th & 31st, 2016

  1. The Event will be conducted under the International Sporting Code of the Federation Internationale de L'Automobile, the National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS), the National Motorkhana Code, these Supplementary Regulations and any Further Regulations or Instructions issued by the Organisers.

  1. Type of Event: 2016 REJEX Classic Rally, a Multi Club Touring Assembly including a maximum of 20 Motorkhana and driving tests including a “Come and Try” Motorkhana component.

  1. The Event will be held in and around Katherine, NT with stops at various locations including WW2 Katherine Airstrip, WW2 Manbulloo Airstripand other locations to be confirmed. Motorkhana eventsand other driving tests will be held during the stops at each location.

  1. Licences: Participants in the competition will be required to hold a minimum of a CAMS Level 2NS (non speed) licence and be a NAMSC member.Level 1 and Single Event CAMS Licences are available for non licence holders.

  1. Entries Open with publication of these Regulations and must be returned to the Event Secretary. Entries Close on Friday10th June 2016. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
All entries must be made on the official Entry Form.
Entry Fee: $350 per vehicle (Driver and Navigator). Additional fees apply for additional drivers and crew.
For those without a current CAMS Licence, entry fee will include NAMSC event Membership and Single Event licence.
  1. Maximum Number of Entries is 70, to be accepted in order of receipt until places are filled.
Cars will be divided into classes based on age of vehicle as per below…
CLASS A Up to 1930, CLASS B 1930 – 1945, CLASS C 1946 – 1960, CLASS D 1961 - 1975
CLASS E 1976 – 1990, CLASS F 1991 –2005, CLASS G 2006 - Present
Handicaps will be applied based on the age of the engine in each vehicle.
  1. All vehicles participating must be registered for road use and must take part in all transport and driving events to be eligible for awards unless otherwise approved by the Director/Clerk of Course and Steward.

  1. Scrutiny and Document Checking:
Darwin: 2:00pm to 5:00pm, Friday 29thof July at the Old QANTAS Hangar, MacDonald Street, Parap.
Katherine: 2:00pm – 5:00pm, Friday 29th of July at the MVEC Club Shed, Gorge Rd, Katherine.
Documents to be presented at scrutiny include a current CAMS Competition Licence and current CAMS affiliated club membership. CAMS Licence applications will be available for those without licences. Vehicles must comply with Schedule A of the General Requirements for Cars and Drivers of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. Vehicles must be adequately muffled to comply with noise restrictions. Fuel must comply with the requirements of Schedule G in the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.

  1. The Organisers may refuse any entry without assigning a reason (Refer NCR 83 of the current CAMS Manual of Motorsport). Protests shall be in accordance with Part XII of the current NCR’s.

  1. Entries from participants under 18 years of age musthave the consent of a Parent or Guardian of the Competitor or Driver,who must counter-sign the Entry.

17. The Organisers may cancel, alter, or abandon, or postpone the event without assigning a reason in accordance with NCR 59 of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
18. A minimum of a lap or lap/sash seatbelt must be worn at all times during timed events in accordance with Schedule I of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. All participants must wear enclosed shoes during the timed events (refer Schedule D for all driver apparel).
19. The route and intermediate assembly points will be at the Organisers discretion and advised during the Participants Briefing and in the Route instructions.
20. Any holder of a CAMS ‘Competition’ or ‘Officials’ licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may be tested for the presence of drugs (or other banned substances) and subject to a penalty(ies) for a breach in accordance with the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy and/or the CAMS Illicit Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy as published on the CAMS website. Consumption of alcohol in the paddock, pits or any section of the competition venue/course under the control of the Officials is forbidden until all competition is concluded each day. Accordingly, any holder of a CAMS ‘Competition’ or ‘Officials’ licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may also be tested for the presence of alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) in accordance with the CAMS Standard Operating Procedure for Breath Alcohol Testing.
  1. Results will be determined for Outright and Handicap times on Driving Test times. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Outright and Handicap, as well as class trophies for Class A - G based on Vehicle age. Additional Awards may be presented at the discretion of the organisers.
