Athletes are limited to participate in a maximum of two events by

WIAA Rule 64.2.0

Athletes are now eligible to participate in the Jamboree after their 8th practice, and the Jamboree may be counted as a 9th or 10th practice (WIAA Rule 17.28.2,3)

Starting times are tentative. The events will begin as soon as the prior event is completed.

Note that the following events are not scheduled for competition:

Coaches may be asked to assist in the management of the meet. Coaches are also encouraged to bring non-participating athletes. Any duties and assignments may be assigned by e-mail, prior to the meet, or at the 8:00 AM coaches meeting.

Event Management:

3200m: Depending on the number of entries, either a single waterfall start, a double waterfall start (a portion of the field will start in Lane #1 and the remainder will start in Lane #5 with a one-turn stagger), or possibly multiple heats will be run.

Heats: Enter as Varsity or JV per event. Varsity heats will be run first - Random seeded; JV heats will follow.

800m relay: The three-turn staggered start will apply. The first three runners will complete his/her leg in their assigned lane. The fourth runner may cut after the exchange has been completed, subject to exchange zone regulations.

SP, Disc LJ: Each competitor will be permitted three trials in the shot put, long jump and discus. No Finals. The field will be divided into flights ranging from 8 to 16, depending upon the number of competitors.

Boys will compete before the girls in the Shot Put.

Girls will compete before the boys in the Discus.

Boys will long jump into the North pit

Girls will long jump into the South pit.

High Jump: All competitors must report their opening height with the event judge prior to the start of the event. Girls will compete first, followed by the boys. The opening height for girls will be 3’8” with 2” increments, and 4’ 8” for the boys with 2” increments.

Entries and Lane Assignments: Please enter all participating athletes into the jamboree through athletic.net. Heat and lane assignments will be determined by the Hytek program from the entries in athletic.net. Entries are due by 12:00 PM on Friday. To help with the smooth running of the meet, no additional participants may be added after the noon Friday deadline.
