Classroom Discipline Policy
Behavior Rules:
- Follow directions the first time they are given. Ask if you do not understand.
- Be in your assigned seat prepared, and ready to work when the bell rings.
- No food or drink allowed in the lab.
- Raise your hand and wait to be recognized before speaking.
- No electronic devices allowed in class at any time. ( Phones, IPod, Etc)
- Must follow all school rules highlighted in handbook.
- Must be in proper uniform.
Consequences:
First time a student breaks a ruleWarning
Second time a student breaks a rule20 minute detention after school with teacher
Third time a student breaks a rule40 minute detention and
call parent
Fourth time a student breaks a ruleDiscipline notice sent to V.P. for PARENT CONFERENCE
Detention will be after school starting at 2:35.
Expected Behavior During:
- Lecture: Focus on the lesson! No talking other than contributions to the lesson.
- Independent Seat Work: Work with your own resources and on your
assigned task. This is not the time for socializing
with your classmates.
3. Working in Teams: Work on the task only in your assigned group.
Help those in the group who are unsure.
- Test and Quiz Taking: ABSOLUTE SILENCE. You must respect other
students’ needs. No talking until ALL papers are in.
- Entering Classroom: Be in your seat and ready to work by the time the bell
has finished ringing.
- Exiting Classroom: Replace seats to original positions if they were moved.
Do not get up or prepare to leave until dismissed.
Please do not leave any trash behind.
- Labs: Prepare the lab the night before and be ready to begin when class starts.
Follow all warning and lab safety procedures outlined for each lab.
Be sure to follow directions.

Make-up Work:Time allotted from date of return for a(n) absence(s)
TestsMust be taken in /within the amount of days absent
(if absent for 2 days, you have 2 days for make-up)
otherwise a zero will be entered.
LabsIf absent on the day in which the lab was
completed, you are required to make arrangements
with the teacher for an alternate assignment.
If absent on the day on which the lab was due, then
it must be handed in the next day that you are
present. It is 5 points off for each day that the lab
report is late.
Extra Credit: Will only be given to those who have completed their required work.
Extra Help: After school between 2:31 – 2:50 by appointment.
Required Supplies
3-ring binder or notebook (marble or spiral),
Writing instruments (pens, pencils, and erasers)
