Classes this year are open to all allotment society members and members of the public.

As well as the show on the 1st , there will be the OPIS WAKE on Saturday 30th August from 7pm – 10pm. In praise of the Greek Goddess OPIS, goddess of plenty, this is a Home-Brew festival taking place on the allotment site. Bring along your own brew or just come to sample the work of others. Every one over the age of 18 is the judge.

ENTRANCE FEE: £2 entitles you to enter in as many categories as you like.

FIRST PLACE PRIZE £1 FOR EACH CATEGORY.

ROSETTES FOR 1ST , 2ND , 3RD WHICH YOU CAN DISPLAY AT THE ENTRANCE TO YOUR PLOT.

BAS KEITH TROTT TROPHY TO THE PLOTHOLDER WITH THE MOST POINTS ACROSS THE SCHEDULE.

PLEASE NOTE : ALL ENTRIES MUST BE STAGED BY 11:00 am ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW

Entries must be staged by 11:00am. All brassicas must be judged uncut.

RULES OF SHOWING

1. For exhibiting in the schedule, only fully paid up members can win overall best in show.

2. All exhibits must be the property of the exhibitor and grown by the exhibitor.

3. The committee has the right to inspect the exhibitor’s garden

4. Exhibitors may only exhibit one entry per class

5. There is a flat entry fee of £2

6. Points for perpetual trophies will be awarded as follows. 1st Prize = 3pts, 2nd prize = 2pts, 3rd prize = 1 pt.

7. Any member wishing to lodge a complaint must do so within one hour of the completion of the judging, accompanied by a fee of £1 ( refundable if the complaint is upheld)

8. Entries will be accepted between 9:00 am to 11:00 am on the morning of the show.

9. All containers and vases must be provided by the exhibitor

10. All flower exhibits must be shown with their foliage

11. The judging of all exhibits must be strictly in accordance with NVS rules

TROPHIES FOR THE 2014 SEASON

The trophies for the 2014 season are under review. Further details will be posted nearer the time.
