White Swan Campus

·  Summer School Language Support (Certificated or Classified) (1)

Energetic, motivated staff needed to support students in grades 3-8 in attaining grade level success and academic grade level language

*participate in professional development and implement strategies learned in classrooms

*collaborate with teachers and use best practices when helping students

*encourage students to use high level thinking skills

*lead small groups of students with teacher direction

*supervise students

*implement language acquisition strategies shared through coaching

*provide language support and facilitate language assessments under the direction of Summer School Supervisor

Preferred: Language Acquisition and/or Speech Experience

·  Summer School Cook (1)

Expectations:

*prepare and serve breakfast and lunch for summer school students and staff

·  Summer School Data Clerk (1)

Expectations:

*Enter Pre- & Post-Test Scores and Attendance into Home Room Premium

*Develop PowerPoint showing summer school growth of students attending

*Develop Data Dashboard for MS/HS and ES including scores, attendance, activities, interventions, pictures

*Organize all data/materials into binder

*Report directly to Summer School Supervisors/Dana Jarnecke

·  Summer School Para-educator (6)

Energetic, motivated classified staff needed to support students in attaining grade level success

*participate in professional development and implement strategies learned in classrooms

*support special education student needs which may include toileting, feeding, supervising and interacting with handicapped students

*provide classroom support for positive, engaging environment for students

·  Para-educator for 5 hours; Custodian for 3 hours (1)

*lead small groups of students with teacher direction

*implement language acquisition strategies shared through coaching

*support special education student needs which may include toileting, feeding, supervising and interacting with handicapped students

*provide classroom support for positive, engaging environment for students

*perform custodial duties to clean up classrooms and prepare classrooms and public areas for next day’s activities

·  Supervisors, incoming 1 – 3rd-5th; 1 – 6th – 12)

Energetic, motivated certificated teacher/administrator needed to supervise 3rd – 12th grade students in attaining grade level content ability

·  Supervise teachers in strategically intervening with struggling students

·  Provide daily language acquisition professional development to summer school teachers

·  Plan for pre and post-assessments to be used by teachers to set individual student goals and monitor (reading level and progress made

·  Develop effective plans utilizing the SIMPLE 6 to support students in attaining grade level content levels

·  Monitor teachers providing progress reports to parents (at least one progress report)

·  Monitor and implement teachers providing “at home” content intervention/enrichment strategies to parents

·  Facilitate teachers communicating to parents interventions used at school to increase content area level

·  Walk classrooms and provide feedback on Simple Six and language acquisition strategy implementation

Requirements:

*Past supervisory experience in summer school programs

*Ability to plan for and implement language acquisition/SIMPLE 6 professional development with all teachers

*Ability to provide teachers feedback about language acquisition/SIMPLE 6 district instructional expectations

*Ability to organize daily activities and supervise a group of teachers

Summer School ELA Teacher (2) for Incoming 3rd & 4th Grade

Summer School Math Teacher (2) for Incoming 3rd & 4th Grade

Summer School ELA/Math Teacher (1) for Incoming 5th and 6th Grade

Summer School 7th & 8th Grade ELA Teacher (1)

Summer School 7th & 8th Grade Math Teacher (1)

Summer School Plato On-Line Credit Retrieval Teacher (7-12) (1)

Energetic, motivated certificated teacher needed to support incoming 3rd through 12th grade students in attaining grade level reading/math ability

·  Strategically intervene with struggling readers/mathematicians

·  Actively participate in daily professional development on SIMPLE SIX and language acquisition strategies

·  Implement language acquisition strategies learned about during daily PD

·  Use pre and post-assessments to set individual student goals and monitor (reading/math level and progress made

·  Develop effective plans utilizing the SIMPLE 6 and language supports to support students in attaining grade level reading/math levels

·  Provide progress reports to parents (at least once during summer school)

·  Plan for and provide “at home” reading/math intervention strategies to parents at least twice during summer school

·  Communicate to parents interventions used at school to increase reading/math level

Expectations:

*development and implementation of pre and post assessments and progress monitoring. Scores provided at the end of summer school to Director of Teaching and Learning.

*development of goal shared with student and parent, goal emailed to Director of Teaching and Learning for student’s learning plan in Home Room

*progress reports to parents at least once during summer session

*Provide “at home” reading intervention strategies to parents at least two times

*Communicate to parents the interventions the school is offering to increase reading level
