Travel Request for Naval Post Graduate School
It is an Internet based application, which provides an user to submit is
travel request (including ticket reservation, lodging, meals etc.). Travel
Manger package is used to track the travel invoices at the U.S.Ministry.
Whenever the user submits travel request the data will be saved in the SQL
Server database. In order to authorize the request, the data has to be
processed in the Travel manager, which resides in Sun Solaris operating
system with Oracle database has back end. When the data moves through
travel manager user request will be authorized or canceled based on the
travel request. This will be identified based the status field in SQL
Server database. If the Status field value is 4 then, it indicates there is
travel request, which has to be processed. If it is 6, request has been
authorized. If it is 7, request has been canceled.
Responsibilities:
Designed a VB application to invoke Travel Manger through personal
communications (Emulator window).
