****If student needs to be medically cleared (i.e., may have taken pills or alcohol, cuts on body), send them to the closest ER approved by their insurance. All ER’s must see indigent clients sent to them for mental health evaluations.

AvistaHospitalwill do a medical clearance and then call CentennialPeaks for an assessment if student is insured. If the student is not insured Avista will call county social services for assistance.

Devereux Cleo Wallace303-438-2208

Cleo Wallace works with boys age 8 to 21 and girls age 12 to 21. They accept both Medicaid and insurance. They prefer that the child is evaluated before admission but will provide a level of care evaluation upon admission. Counselors are available for questions from 8:30am-5:00pm.

Children’s Hospital303-861-6200

Children’s Hospital does an evaluation and will hold any child regardless of ability to pay. Call the above number and brief the intake team before sending the family. Children’s will page an on-site evaluator from the psych team and after the assessment will do financial counseling if child needs treatment. They will provide resources to the family and find treatment facilities if the family’s insurance does not cover their facilities.

CentennialPeaks is a short term crisis intervention facility for students ages 13-18. They take private insurance and accept Medicaid only if an evaluation has been done in the emergency room first.

The Community Reach Center303-853-3500

The mental health center provides intervention if the student is on Medicaid. They have walk-in intake for out-patient therapy. They are available 24 hours for crisis but if they assess a client at high risk the client will be transferred to a local hospital and reevaluated by the team there. Call for consultation if you are unsure of risk level.

Centennial Peaks is a short term crisis intervention facility for students ages 11-18. They take private insurance and accept Medicaid only if an evaluation has been done in the emergency room first.

If student has Kaiser, have parent call to see if they are covered for mental health services and then have them , If not covered for mental health payments and/or options would be discussed.

NorthSuburbanHospital303-450-4482

NorthSuburbanHospital will do emergency evaluations through the ER. Based on need they will help coordinate hospitalization if necessary or will connect family with community resources. If a student is 15 or older an evaluation can be done without parent consent for both substance abuse and mental health issues.

St. Anthony’s North303-426-2151

St. Anthony’s will do a medical clearance and then call for an emergency evaluation from an outside agency.
