COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students will gain knowledge of psychological, physiological, and sociological needs of individuals by enhancing the environments in which they live and work. Students will use knowledge and skills related to interior and exterior environments, construction, and furnishings to make wise consumer decisions, increase productivity, promote sustainability, and compete in industry.
Class Fee: $22 (MUST be paid online by using School Cash)

- Paper
- Pen/Pencil
- Tablet and charger
- Poster boards (1)
- Colored pencils
- Binder (1 ½”)

CLASS RULES
- Arrive on time.
- Bring your tablet, charger, and supplies daily.
- Stay seated during instruction.
- Be kind to everyone.
- Respect space of others.
EXPECTATIONS
- Students will not be able to leave class within the first 10 minutes as well as the last 10 minutes of class.
- Food/Drinks are NOT allowed in the classroom, apart from water.
- Do not horseplay with furniture containing wheels (desks and chairs).
- Do not pack up until you are instructed to do so by the teacher. You may not stand by the door to wait for the bell to ring.
- Students should throw away all trash before they leave the room.
GRADING POLICY
- Major Grades: Makes up 60% of the total nine weeks grade.
Examples include: Tests, Projects
- Daily Grades: Makes up 40% of the total nine weeks grade.
Examples include: daily assignments, quizzes, journal grades, discussions, project checkpoints
***Test Days are Mondays and Thursdays.
MAKE-UP WORK
- Students will be expected to make up all assignments, tests, etc. missed due to excused or unexcused absences. Students are allowed the same number of days to complete the work as they are absent. Make-up work is not to be done during class.
- It is the student’s responsibility to obtain make-up work. Make sure to check the make-up work folder for your class period as soon as you come into class.
- Check the Schoology class calendar for important dates and missed material.
- Make-up work not completed in the scheduled time will result in the student receiving a “0” on that assignment.
LATE WORK PROCEDURE
Every day that work is late, 10 points will be deducted. After 5 days, a “0” will be given.

TUTORING AND GRADE REPAIR
Mrs. McKeever will be available for tutoring by appointment in room 1911. Students will be encouraged to participate in tutoring prior to retesting. Students have the opportunity to retake a test within one week of original test administration if their grade is a 69 or below. Maximum grade on a re-take exam is 70.
