Successful profile production technology day at KraussMaffei Berstorff!
(Hannover, 19thSeptember 2012) The KraussMaffei Berstorff technology day in Hannover generated great enthusiasm amongvisitors in Hannover. KraussMaffei Berstorff’s experts provided about 70 customers and interested parties with brand new insider information onstate-of-the-art machinery for rubber profile production.
Optimum platform for information and know-how exchange
"The event was focused on personal discussions with customers and prospective buyers – a win-win situation for both sides. While customers received expert information on state-of-the art engineering and process technology, we learnt more about their specific requirements and expectations. This will help us in designingeven more customized solutions. Our profile technology day offered the ideal platform for this synergetic exchange“, declares Paul-Eberhard Kortmann, ChiefOperatingOfficer at KraussMaffei Berstorff. Within the frame of lectures and presentations, numerous innovative features of the EPDM profile production line in the technical center were presented. In addition, current market trends in the field of TPE and the KraussMaffei Berstorff machinery range for the production of hybrid sealing profiles were dealt with in detail.
State-of-the-art system solutions for profile production
“Many customers spent a lot of time at our technical center to take a closer look at the new line and convince themselves of its unparalleled efficiency”,reports Hans-Georg Meyer, senior sales manager at KraussMaffei Berstorff.Visitors were particularly interested in the water-cooled extruder drive and the circulating air system for the microwave and hot-air channel that contributes substantially to the system’s energy efficiency. The pneumatic adjustment of the microwave and hot air channel doors for easy access to the treatment chambers was also received with great interest.
The LabStar line – a laboratory-scale rubber profile production line – was an additional highlight of the event. Thanks to its short set-up times, this line is particularly suited for low output rates. As the line is based on the reliable production line engineering concept, it guarantees stable and reproducible production conditions.
Last but not least, KraussMaffei Berstorff presented an extrusion line for the production of silicone hoses. Thanks to its vertical configuration, this line is designed for contactless hose vulcanization over a short vulcanizing section.
As of now, the entire rubber profile extrusion line and the specialist team will be available for individual tests during which customers and potential buyers will be able to examine the suitability of the KraussMaffei Berstorff solution using their specific material.
