Roster protocol:

·  Use the sign-in sheet to complete the roster.

·  If a student is absent from class, print an A in the box for that date.

·  If a student is present, leave the box blank.

·  After 6 consecutive absences, place a Withdrawal Code in the next day’s box, e.g., W40, W41, . . .

·  If a student is currently withdrawn, leave the boxes after the withdrawal date blank unless the student re-enters.

·  If a withdrawn student re-enters class after the withdrawal date, enter the correct Re-entry Code (R2, R2.5, R3, . . .) in the box.

·  However, if a withdrawn student re-enters class on the withdrawal date, use the appropriate Withdrawal Code and Re-entry Code in the same box. Place the Re-entry Code on top of the Withdrawal Code.

·  Change of Enrollment Form is located . . .

·  Use the Change of Enrollment Form to indicate withdrawals and re-entries.

·  Make sure all students on the sign-in sheet have been accounted for.

·  If you mark a student absent who is present, draw a slash through the A and initial the error.

·  Use only blue or black ink (Classroom teacher, indicate preference.) on the roster, use no pencils or whiteout, please.
