Bracket Explanation for the PYSA Fall Cup

Groups of 4 teams – 1 bracket of 4. Each team plays 3 games in their bracket, with the 1st in points and the 2nd in points playing in the final.

Groups of 6 teams - 2 brackets of 3. Each team plays 2 games in their bracket, with the 1st in points from each bracket playing in the Final. Crossover consolation games will be as follows: 2nd in bracket A vs. 2nd in bracket B and 3rd in bracket A vs. 3rd in bracket B.

Groups of 8 teams – 2 brackets of 4. Each team plays 3 games in their bracket, with the 1st in points from each bracket playing in the Final.

Groups of 10 teams – 2 brackets of 3 and 1 bracket of 4. The bracket of 4 plays 3 games in their bracket with the 1st in points going to the final. In the brackets of 3, each team plays 2 games in their bracket, with the 1st in points from each bracket playing in a semifinal to see who plays the 1st in points of the bracket of 4. Crossover consolation games will be as follows: 2nd in points from each bracket of 3 will play each other and the 3rd in points from each bracket of 3 will play each other. There are no consolation games for the bracket of 4.

Groups of 12 teams – 4 brackets of 3. Each team plays 2 games in their bracket, with the 1st in points from each bracket playing in the semifinals to see who will play in the Final. Crossover consolation games will be as follows: 2nd in bracket A vs. 2nd in bracket B, 3rd in bracket A vs. 3rd in bracket B, 2nd in bracket C vs. 2nd in bracket D, and 3rd in bracket C vs. 3rd in bracket D.

Groups of 14 teams – 2 brackets of 3 teams and 2 brackets of 4. The teams in the brackets of 4 play 3 pool games and the brackets of 3 play 2 pool games. The 1st in points from each bracket play in the semifinals to see who play in the Finals. Crossover consolation games will be as follows: 2nd in bracket C vs. 2nd in bracket D and 3rd in bracket C vs. 3rd in bracket D.
