DIRECTORATE: DISASTER MANAGEMENT

PERSONAL ASSISTANT/SECRETARY TO THE DIRECTOR: DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Remuneration: R140,208 per annum

REQUIREMENTS:

·  Matriculation Certificate with a Certificate/Diploma in Office Management/Secretarial Studies/Administration

·  Two to three years administrative/relevant experience in the public service

·  Problem solving and analytical skills

·  High level of computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, Access, Work, Powerpoint)

·  Excellent interpersonal skills

·  Ability to work well under pressure

·  Ability to adhere to responses and deadlines timeously

DUTIES:

The incumbent of this position will be responsible for:

·  Arrange meetings for the Director: Disaster Management

·  Provide secretariat services to meetings of the Director: Disaster Management

·  Make traveling and accommodation arrangement for the Director: Disaster Management

·  Handle correspondence

·  Deal with enquiries and draft responses to all incoming enquiries

·  Manage the diary of the Director: Disaster Management

·  Maintain a filing system that ensure speedy retrieval

·  Maintain confidentiality

·  Compile and consolidate reports for submission

·  Manage the human and financial resources of the Office of the Director: Disaster Management

PRACTICAL TEST:

All short-listed candidates are required to undergo a practical computer literacy test at the end of the interviews.
