I am very pleased to offer you a permanent position as position title with the college/department/unit, University of Saskatchewan, based on the following terms and conditions:

1. Position:

You are appointed to the position of position title, family and phase, college/department/unit, University of Saskatchewan, and in this capacity you will report directly to name and title of direct supervisor. This is a permanent position, and as discussed and agreed with you, your start date in the position will be start date. This position is exempt from any bargaining unit.

2. Remuneration:

Your base salary will be $X per annum (less statutorily required deductions). Your salary is payable once a month at month end, in accordance with the university’s standard payroll practices and will be paid through direct deposit. The current salary range for this phase is $X salary minimum to $X salary maximum per annum.

3. Hours of Work:

Your hours of work are based on the normal operating hours of the university and are flexible based on work plans established with your supervisor. From time to time, you may be asked to work additional hours in order to meet the operational needs of the department. Include one of: "This position is exempt from overtime pay." OR "Overtime provisions will apply as per the Exempt Staff Handbook, Item 4.3 Hours of Work."

4. Benefits and Pension:

As a permanent employee, you will be eligible to participate in the University of Saskatchewan group benefit plans for exempt staff. You are also eligible to participate in the University of Saskatchewan’s Money Purchase Pension Plan in accordance with the plan requirements.

5. Vacation:

You will receive # weeks of vacation per vacation year (May 1 to April 30), pro-rated for the current year

(if applicable), according to Item 9 Holidays and Vacation. Vacations are to be taken at such time or times as are mutually convenient to you and the college/department/unit. We encourage all employees to use their vacation on a yearly basis.

6.Professional Allowance:

In addition, you are eligible to receive an annual Include one of: "Senior Administrators Professional Expense Account" OR "Accountable Professional Expense Account" Refer to item 5.2 Professional Allowances of the Exempt Staff Handbook to determine which one applies, in the amount of $X per annum (pro-rated for the current year) (if applicable) to support your on-going career development needs. Please see Item 5 in the Exempt Staff Handbook for information regarding your professional allowance.

7. Assessment Period:

Consistent with Item 3.3 Probation, you are required to complete a one year probationary period upon appointment to this position. We will review your progress in the position on a regular basis and provide you with regular feedback. We will be in a position to confirm your continued employment upon successful completion of the probationary period.

8. Housing Assistance:

Subject to existing eligibility requirements and program guidelines, you may participate in the University Housing Advance Program (HAP). Under the terms of this program, you are eligible for a HAP interest-free loan in the amount of $12,000 to assist in the purchase of a principle residence within the Saskatoon area. The HAP is a taxable benefit and is repayable over a maximum term of five years, via monthly payroll deductions. 9. Moving Expenses: (If applicable)

The university will reimburse you for the costs of reasonable moving expenses for you and your family. This includes the costs of moving your personal effects and transportation. If you travel by car, you will receive the equivalent of one-way economy airfare. You will need to submit your receipts in order to receive reimbursement. 10.Effective Date:

The terms of this offer shall come into effect on your first day of employment in the position of position title with the college/department/unit.

11. Other Terms and Conditions:

Your employment is subject to the terms and conditions set out in the Exempt Staff Handbook which can be found on the Human Resources website at: http://www.usask.ca/hrd/employees/agreements.php, as well as other applicable policies approved by the University of Saskatchewan. All other terms and conditions of your employment are outlined in our Exempt Staff Handbook which the university may amend from time to time. However, we will attempt whenever possible, to communicate such changes in advance.

12. Confidentiality

During the course of your employment with the University of Saskatchewan, you will be entrusted with confidential and proprietary information. Such information will not be released or divulged, whether directly or indirectly, unless authorized by University policy, required by law, or through the express written consent of the University of Saskatchewan given under the hand of the proper officer with authority to give such consent.
