The Trade and Public are hereby informed that consequent upon re-organisation of Central Excise Commissionerates Vide GIMF (DR), New Delhi’s Notification No. 27/2014-Central Excise (N.T) dated 16.09.2014 and Notification No. 20-2014-Service Tax, dated 16.09.2014 specifying the jurisdiction of Central Excise, Zone and Commissionerates of Central Excise; the Chief Commissioner, Central Excise, Ahmedabad Zone is pleased to accord approval to the following re-organisation of Central Excise & Service Tax Divisions/Ranges/Out Sectors within the jurisdiction of Central Excise Commissionerate, Rajkot.

The existing Central Excise Division-II, Rajkot will be split into two divisions namely Central Excise Division-II, Rajkot and Central Excise Division, Morbi. Under the jurisdiction of Central Excise Division, Morbi there will be 05 (five) CentralExciseAssessmentRanges and 01 (one) ServiceTaxRange which is as under:

(5)Service Tax Division, Rajkot.

The jurisdiction of ServiceTaxRanges has been changed from Service Base jurisdiction to geographical/area based.

The Service Tax assesses falling under the district of Kutch are being shifted to newly created Service Tax Division, Gandhidham under the jurisdiction of newly created Central Excise Commissionerate, Kutch (Gandhidham).

The Service Tax assesses falling under the districts of Jamnagar and Devbhumi Dwarika are being shifted to ServiceTaxRange-I, II and III under the jurisdiction of Central Excise Division, Jamnagar.

The Service Tax assesses falling under the districts of Morbi (except Halvad Taluka) are being shifted to Service Tax Range, Morbi under the jurisdiction of newly created Central Excise Division, Morbi.

All the Trade Associations and Chambers of Commerce are requested to bring the contents of this Trade Notice to the knowledge of their members in particular and the trade and industry in general.

This Trade Notice will come into force with effect from 15.10.2014.
