throughaprocessandsubmittedareportin2012calledInstitutionalSelfEvaluationReportwherethecollege,studentsandstaffdidevaluationsofeverythingwithreportsandevidence.ItisacertificationprocessbywhichthequalityandintegrityofacademicinstitutionwhichapplytoeverycollegethroughtheU.S.TheU.S.hasitsownsystemtoevaluateAmericancolleges.
●Therearesixregionaccreditors:allcollegespayafeetoparticipateinaPeerEvaluationprocessinvolvingvolunteeringcollegeadministratorsandfacultyforreviewteams.
●KCCbelongstoACCJCRegion.ThisregioncoverscollegesinCaliforniaandspecificregionsinHawaiistate.Thebottom
lineistoensurethecollegeprovidesthebestacademic
experiencepossibleforstudents.Theaccreditationcouldaffecttheacademicinstitutionsbasedontheresults.
●PositiveoutcomeKCCbenefittedfromwasstrongerAGO
(AuthorizedGovernanceOrganization).Thelastthreeyears,KCCfacultyandadministrationhavebeenactiveinstrengtheningstudentparticipationalongwithstudentsgovernanceoncampus.Theorganizationwantsthe
studentstohaveatrueauthenticlearningexperience,toensurethestudentslearnwhattheyneedtolearnfora
competitiveenvironmentaftercollege.
●FinancialAidforstudentsdependsonwhetherthecollegeisaccreditedornotbecauseitisfromtheFederal
Government.Studentswhoarefromanaccredited
institutionwillhavecreditsrecognizedeasierforapplyingandtransferring.
●UHSystemhas10campusesincluding7community

colleges.VicePresidentsforUHCCsJohnMortonhasbeeninvolvedintryingtoensureeverycollegehasthesamelearningprocessandbenefits.
