About the JA Young Ambassador program
Do you know a student who enjoys speaking in public and has a knack for grabbing the attention of large audiences? If this student has participated in a JA program they may be eligible to be Junior Achievement’s next Young Ambassador.
What are the criteria?
In order to be a JA Young Ambassador, the nominee:
1) must be a K-12 student who received a JA program this year or in years past
2) should feel comfortable speaking in front of large groups
3) ought to appear friendly, outgoing and engaging
4) will require reliable transportation to/from special events and speaking engagements
What does this program entail?
The students selected will be featured as emcees or speakers at various Junior Achievement of Arizona events throughout the school year. Events will be discussed in further detail with the student’s family, and scheduled in cooperation with parents/guardians.
Examples of these local events are as follows:
Ø “Open 4 Business” Golf Tournament
Ø Annual Board Meeting
Ø Women’s Golf Classic
Ø Stock Market Challenge
Ø Thank-a-thon Events
Ø other events as appropriate
How do students apply?
Candidates must be referred by an adult. To nominate a student for this program, complete the Young Ambassador Program Application on the back of this form. All applications must be completed and submitted to our office no later than June 9, 2015.
