Thank you for expressing interest in becoming a Summer Housing Assistant (SHA).

Please be sure to print out a copy of the SHA position description for your records.

Please make sure to review the SHA Job Description to verify you meet all basic requirements.

B. Application Process

1.  Please type requested information in all parts of application. Incomplete or handwritten applications will not be processed and will result in the candidate being disqualified. Submit your completed, printed application packet to the UHS front desk by 5:00PM on Friday, April 26, 2013. Applications received after 5:00 PM will not be considered for the position.

2.  Priority consideration will be given to staff members who will be returning to the RA staff next year, that are currently on the RA staff, or that will be a new RA staff member for 2013-2014.

3.  Applications will be screened by the Campus Village Building B (CVB), Residential Life Coordinators (RLCs). There will be no interviews of candidates who are currently, have currently been, or will be Resident Advisors for UHS. The CVB RLCs will contact you if an interview will be necessary as part of your application.

4.  The CVB RLCs will determine offers based on previous performance and/or interviews.

5.  Candidates who do not meet GPA, judicial, or other qualifications will not be considered for the position.

Much work for this position is administrative and geared specifically to the development of a summer conference and residential community program.

The duties are demanding, requiring dedication, energy, creativity, enthusiasm, reliability, and lots of patience! The ability to be flexible and an exceptional team player are important.
