EARTH DAY is Sunday April22. TheHome Ec. Dept. will becreating awareness and making it easy for you to eat a plant based lunchby offering a vegan meal on Tuesday April 24. Adelicious quinoa with black beansalad will be available for $3.00. A discount of $.50 will be given to those bringing your own eating container + utensil. VOLUNTEER AT SFU CAMPS: Volunteers, aged 15+, are being sought forcamps for childrenthroughout July and Aug., including basketball, soccer, biology, chemistry, glee, dance, outdoor adventure and more. Applications are due April 29. Go to more info.

NOW YOUTH AMBASSADORS: Youth leaders are needed to volunteer at this year's Newcomer Orientation for new immigrant and refugeeyouth and parents. You will receive training, and will plan and deliver welcoming and orientation activities for youth. There are a number of dates you need to commit to this spring (orientation, training, planning) in addition to summer dates (Aug. 13, 20, 27, 28). Please see Mr. Cordoni for more information. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FAIR April 20 Ms. Pante

Student Council is organizing a Volunteer Opportunities Fair for Point Grey Students.

This event will happen onApril 20 during last block of the day andwill be in a similar format to Clubs Day.

Teachers will bring classes to the cafeteria by grade:

Grade 10 -- 2:00-2:15

Grade 9 -- 2:15-2:30

Grade 8 -- 2:30-2:45

Grade 11/12 -- 2:45-3:00

The event will continueuntil 4:00 for any students who weren’t able to go during last block. Student Council
