I understand that participation in athletics is a privilege, not a right. The student-athlete must earn this privilege through dedication, desire, and discipline. Without the pursuit of those, the student-athlete can in no way do justice to themselves, family or the school. The student-athlete must discipline himself to be of good character on the fields, courts, etc. as well as in the classroom in order to achieve athletic excellence. In order for a determined course of action for the pursuit of athletic achievement and the character training of young persons, the following “Athletic Policies” must be understood and agreed upon between the school the student-athlete, and the parents.

I understand that all team members of each sport will attend all scheduled practices and meetings. No practices shall be missed. If circumstances arise whereby the student-athlete cannot attend a practice, meeting, or games the coach or Athletic Director must be notified prior to the practice, meeting, or game missed by personal contact, phone call, email or written statement from the parent or guardian. Any student-athlete who cuts practice, fails to appear for a game, fails to make a scheduled team or individual meetings, or fails to attend school on a game day or on practice days may not be allowed to suit up for any game or games for a period of time determined by the Coach or theAthletic Director. Excessive absences from any practice or games /meets may result in dismissal from the team. All student-athletes must attend classes on a regular basis.

I understand that my first priority is academics. To be eligible for athletics, the student-athlete must be in compliance with the LLT Academy policies and procedures as well as the CFCAL association. Eligibility for weekly participation shall be determined by the student’s grades in edsby. Student-athletes must maintain a “C” in every core class to be eligible for participation. Any student-athlete that has discipline concerns with teachers or staff may not participate in any game or games for a period of time determined by Coaches, Athletic Director, and the Administration of LLT Academy. Any student athlete who receives a suspension for any reason will be removed from the team immediately.

There are rare occasions when one of our teams will need to get to their game/meet in a rush and can’t afford to get stuck in carline. I am asking for parent permission for LLT staff to walk the Student-Athletes to the Dollar General Store parking lot to meet parents if this need were to arise. We can no longer use the trailer park next door. You will be notified if this need was put into motion.

I understand that the policy of LLT Academy is as follows:
Students-athletes participating in any LLT sport competition shall carry their own insurance coverage. Insurance plans are not available through LLT. I can assure each parent and student that the utmost care will be taken at all times and that we would hope and work toward the end that there would be no accidents.

The parents and family members of the student athletes are not allowed to coach from the side lines nor are they supposed to sit with the team. Please remember that all of the coaches at LLT are volunteers who have been fingerprinted by the Hillsborough County School District. If you have any problems with referees, the coaching staff or the other teams in the CFCAL league please address these issues directly to Coach Clemmer the Athletic Director for LLT.
Sports Physicals
LLT requires each student athlete who chooses to participate in an after school sport to have a sports physical. LLT will provide the necessary paperwork for your doctor to fill out.
Cost for each sport (Parent initials______)
The total cost for the student-athlete to participate in each sport will be $85.00 and $225.00 for cheerleading. This fee includes league trophy fees, referee fees, fingerprinting fees for all coaches and uniform fees. The student athlete will keep their uniforms at the end of the season. This fee is due before the student athlete is given their team uniform.
Transportation and Pick - Up Times: (Parent initials______)
Athletes are transported to games by their parents and other parent volunteers. It is important that you abide by practice pick up times and game end times. Coaches should never be waiting on parents to pick up, they are volunteering to coach and we want to respect their time.

Parents will be asked to join a Remind text group with their coaches and the AD. This text group will keep you informed on game changes and reminders on practices. Many times things change during the school day and we need to contact parents. It is vital that you join this group.
Method of Payment:
PLEASE PAY THE SPORTS FEE ONLINE USING “SCHOOL PAY”. There will be a small convenience fee. We no longer accept cash or checks.
