This Show is affiliated to the British Horse Society.
Class 12 is a qualifier for The Courier/BHS Scotland Riding Club Working Hunter Series, the final to be held at Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Thursday, 22nd August 2013.
Class 16 is a qualifier for the Fingask Castle/BHS Scotland Riding Club Style Jumping Final to be held at Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Sunday, 25th August 2013
Classes 14 & 15 are qualifiers for the Retrained Racehorse Challenge Championship to be held at Royal Windsor Show 2014 & the ROR/Tattersalls Scottish Series Championship be held at the Royal Highland Show 2014

Please Note:
· All Class times are approximate only and organisers cannot be held responsible should classes overlap.
· All Championship classes will take place immediately after the qualifying classes.
· There will be an overall Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the Show.
· Eligible Championship Competitors must ensure they are in the appropriate arena on time.
RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1 The competition, except where otherwise stated is open to all-comers
2 Horses/ponies suffering from any contagious or infectious disease must not be brought to the show.
3 The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entries that they might think to exclude, or to cancel any entry made, or to prohibit the exhibition of any entry.
4 Substitutes of named entries in any section will not be permitted unless accompanied by Vet’s Certificate.
5 The Riding Club and the Landowners will not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits at, or in transit to or from the Show.
6 No entry monies will be refunded, for any reason, after the closing date of entries.
7 All persons in charge of horses/ponies and all persons admitted to the Showground will obey the orders of the Stewards, Secretary and other Officials of the Riding Club. Exhibitors will be answerable for the conduct of those accompanying them and their representatives. The Stewards and other officials have the power to enforce the regulations of the Club in their different departments.
8 All persons are dutifully requested to ensure that they show consideration courtesy and respect in the vicinity of all persons and other competitors and to exercise caution within the Showground and competition arenas.
9 The Committee reserve the right to appoint judges in lieu of any who may not be able to attend, or to appoint additional Judges or to cancel or make alterations to the appointed list.
10 Unless there are more exhibits than prizes in any class, the last or other prizes may be withdrawn.
11 In all cases of difference of opinion or dispute in regard to the exhibition or placing of competing horses/ponies, or other questions in connection with the Show, the decision of the Committee will be final and binding.
12 Any exhibitor wishing to protest against any decision of the Committee or Judges may do so by lodging a protest, in writing, with the Secretary along with the sum of £20, within one hour of the conclusion of the Class in question. No protest will be accepted after this time and the Committee will reserve the right to withhold repayment of the £20 if any expense has been incurred, or if they consider the protest to be trivial or unnecessary.
13 Exhibitors are warned that it is their responsibility to be in the correct ring at the correct time. No-one will be allowed to enter or leave the ring without the Judge’s permission once judging has commenced.
14 All class times are approximate and organisers cannot be held responsible should classes overlap. Classes will not be held up for competitors competing within another class.
15 Correctly Secured Skull Caps/Ridings hats which comply with current Riding Club regulations must be worn by riders at all times when mounted. The B.H.S. recommends the wearing of hats to the standard of PAS015, EN1384, and all hats prefixed SEI or ASTM.
16 The Registration number(s) for all horses/ponies must be provided on the entry form to ensure acceptance of entry into the Affiliated Breed classes. Registration papers must be brought to the Show and produced upon collection of numbers for all Affiliated Breeds.
RING 1
0900 COLOURED HORSES/PONIESJudge : Ms Gillian Rosen, Dronley, Dundee
Class 1 : Coloured horses/ponies In-Hand.
Class 2 : Coloured horses/ponies Ridden, Four years old and over.
1st and 2nd in Classes 1 and 2 will go forward to be judged for the Whitegate Stud Championship Shield.
The Champion and Reserve will go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the show.
VETERAN CLASSES
Judge : Ms Gillian Rosen, Dronley, Dundee
Class 3 : Veteran In-hand
Class 4 : Veteran Ridden
In classes 3 and 4 all Horses and Ponies must be 15 years old and over.
The above classes may be split into horses (over 14.2 hh) and ponies or under/over 20 years of age should the number of entries warrant this. Please put age and height of veteran on Entry Form.
1st & 2nd in classes 3 & 4 will go forward for the Veteran Championship Trophy donated by Brechin Castle. The Champion and Reserve will go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the Show.
1330 HUNTERS UNDER SADDLE
Judge : Mrs Linda Lucey, Tillicoultry
Class 5 : Large Hunter, exceeding 15.2.h.h. 4 years old and over.
Class 6 : Small Hunter, 14.0 h.h. and over, not exceeding 15.2 h.h. 4 years old & over.
1st and 2nd in Classes 5 and 6 will go forward to be judged for the
George Paul Perpetual Trophy. The Champion & Reserve will then go
forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the Show.
RING 1 (continued)
HUNTERS IN-HAND
Judge : Mrs Linda Lucey, Tillicoultry
Class 7 : Colt, Filly or Gelding, foaled in 2012 to exceed 14.2h.h. at maturity.
Class 8 : Colt, Filly or Gelding, foaled in 2011 or 2010 to exceed 14.2.h.h.at maturity.
A rosette will be awarded to the highest placed 2 yr old and 3 yr old for class 8.
The winner of Class 7 will receive the Jock McDonald Shield.
1st & 2nd in classes 7 & 8 will go forward to be judged for the David A Lawson Perpetual Trophy. The Champion & Reserve will then go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the Show.
Class 9 : For Irish Draught Registered Horses (Pure or part-bred) 4 years old or over,
Ridden or in-hand. 1st and 2nd will go forward to the Supreme Championship
at the conclusion of the Show. The highest placed pure-bred will receive the
Ben Flynn Trophy.
RING 2
0930 WORKING HUNTERSJudge : Mrs Linda Lucey, Tillicoultry
Class 10 : Novice Working Hunter, Horses 4 years old and over. Fences
approx. 2’6”.
Horse & Rider combination not to have been placed 1st or 2nd in Working Hunter classes (excluding closed club competitions) or have won more than £10 BSJA or been placed BE Horse Trials at entry closing date
Class 11 : Intermediate Working Hunter. Fences approx 3’0”.
Horses & Rider combination not to have won more than 3 Working Hunter
Classes or have won more than £25 BSJA or more than 6 points at BE
At entry closing date.
Class 12 : The Courier/BHS Scotland Riding Club Working Hunter
Series 2013
Course approx 3'3".Open to horses 15hh and over, 4yo and over, not to have won more than £400 BS or in working hunter classes, or have more than 45 BE points.Riders 18yo and over on 1 Jan 2013. Hats must conform to current BRC rulebook. The first 3 will qualify for the final to be held in August 2013.If one of the first 3 has already qualified their qualification may be passed down to the fourth placed rider provided they jumped clear.To be eligible to compete at the final riders must be a member of a riding club affiliated to BRC.
1st and 2nd in Classes 10-12 to go forward to be judged for the Dorward Working Hunter Trophy and New Tricks Trophy
The Champion and Reserve will go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of
the Show.
1300 WORKING MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND
Judge : Ms Kate Godfrey, Alyth
Class 13 : Class to include all eligible for classes 17-20. Those competing in Classes 10-12 are not eligible for this class.
To be judged as a Working Hunter Class. Fences approx. 2’6”.
The Winner will receive the Fred White Trophy and 1st & 2nd will go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the Show.

1400 ROR CLASSES

Class 14 The Retrained Racehorse Challenge (see details on last page of schedule)
Class 15 The Tattersalls & RoR Thoroughbred Ridden Show Horse Class (see details on last page of schedule)
The above classes are run in conjunction RoR (Retraining of Racehorses) The judging guidelines can be downloaded from their website www.ror.org.uk . The criteria for each class can be seen on the last page of the schedule. 1st to 3rd place in both classes qualify for the relevant Championship
1st and 2nd places in Classes 14 & 15 should come forward for the Championship. Champion & Reserve to go forward to the Supreme Championship to be held at the conclusion of the Show.
RING 4
There will be clear round jumping in Ring 4 from 1300 until 1400 at a cost of £3 per round
1500 FINGASK CASTLE/BHS RIDING CLUB STYLE JUMPING QUALIFIER
JUDGE: Mrs Andi Bruce, Collace
Class 16 Class open to members and non-members of an affiliated British Riding Club.
However, only members will qualify for the final to be held at Blair Castle Country Fair on Sunday August 2013
RING 3
0930 MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND, IN HAND & UNDER SADDLEJudge : Ms Kate Godfrey, Alyth
Class 17 : Registered Breeds, 4 years old and over, in-hand.
Class 18 : Part-Bred, 4 years old and over, in-hand.
Class 19 : Registered Breeds, 4 years old and over, under saddle.
Class 20 : Part-Bred, 4 years old and over, under saddle.
Part-Bred animals are not eligible for classes 17 & 20.
1st and 2nd in classes 17-20 will go forward to be judged for the Countess of Strathmore Cup.
The Champion and Reserve will go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the show.
The Compton Cup will be awarded to the Best Registered Highland on the day.
The Highland Pony Shield will be awarded to the best Ridden Highland Pony in Class 19
The above classes may be split between large and small breeds if entries warrant this. Please enter breed size on entry form.
Please note: Registration papers for affiliated breeds must be produced at the Show when collecting numbers.
RING 3 (Continued)1300 RIDDEN COBS
JUDGE: Miss Fiona Reed, Puddledub, Auchtertool
Class 21 : Ridden Cobs (Hogged or Traditional) 4 y.o. and over, exceeding 14hh.
This is an open “cob type” class. Cobs should be weight carriers, well mannered and suitable for the nervous rider. 1st & 2nd in Class 21 will go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the show.
HACK/RIDING HORSE
Judge : Miss Fiona Reed, Puddledub, Auchtertool
Class 22 : Hack/Riding Horse 4 y.o. and over, 15h.h.& over.
Competitors will be required to do a show and the horse may be ridden by the judge. Class will be judged on conformation, manners, condition, turnout, and obedience.
1st and 2nd in Class 22 will go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the show.
RIDING CLUB HORSE
Judge : Miss Fiona Reed Puddledub, Auchtertool
Class 23 : Large Riding Club Horse, over 15.2h.h 4 years old and over
Class 24 : Small Riding Club Horse, over 14h.h. but not exceeding 15.2h.h. 4 years
old and over.
Riders to be 17 years old and over
To be judged on manners, condition, turnout and conformation.
Riders will be asked to jump one small fence.
1st and 2nd in classes 23 & 24 will go forward to be judged for The Riding
Horse Trophy donated by Mr & Mrs I Smith.
The Champion and Reserve will go forward to the Supreme Championship at the conclusion of the Show.
THE SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE JUDGED BY MRS CHRISTINE DEAS
The Winner of the Supreme Championship will receive the Brian Andrew Gordon Memorial Cup donated by his daughter, Suzanne Cargill.
