Strack Orchestra Shirts
2011 - 2012
We are currently taking orders for Strack Orchestra Shirts. We are trying to get them early in the year so that the students will have as many opportunities to wear them as possible, particularly now that Fridays are Spirit Days and all Strack students are encouraged to show their Cougar Pride. That also means this shirt could be 20% of your child’s school wardrobe!
These shirts are not designed to replace the varsity or non-varsity dress uniform, but will be worn for travel, for school, and for more casual performances (Future Cougar, Spirit Days and Holiday Assemblies for example). I would prefer everyone to purchase at least a short sleeve t-shirt so that we can look uniform for these occasions. And, its always much easier to keep up with large groups when we’re all wearing the same shirts!
Parents who plan to chaperone trips like the Galveston Festival might also consider ordering a shirt for themselves. Please just add your order to your child’s.
We are also offering Long-sleeve T-shirts, Crew-neck Sweatshirts and Zip-Front Hoodies this year. Sweatshirts and Zip-Front Hoodies may be worn in place of short-sleeve t-shirts as an informal uniform, but please consider the changes in weather we go through in the course of a school year. Many students were quite pleased with last year’s Hoodies, in addition to our short-sleeved T-shirts, particularly when they had to “layer up” for things like region auditions!
All shirts will be black with cyan, magenta and white printing.They will be printed with our 2011-2012 3-D design. T-shirts are adult sizes and run long, but that’s a good thing as many of the kids will grow before the end of the year.
In addition, we are also offering printed drawstring bags again this year. There will be room on the back of these for students to write their names and phone numbers too.These are perfect for storing shoulder rests, rosin and rock stops. No student has lost any of these items when they were stored in one of these bags, so you may want to consider this to be a beneficial investment!
Please complete the form on the back of this paper and enclose it along with cash or check made out to “Strack Orchestra”. Place everything into an envelope with “Orchestra Shirt” and your child’s name on the front. We will be collecting orders between Tuesday, Aug. 30 and Thursday, Sept. 1. Parents can even turn in orders at Open House. This will be the only chance this year to purchase a Strack Orchestra shirt and we hope everyone will take advantage of this great opportunity!
