This has included teaching these courses in the joint ESL certificate programs in Cairo, Egypt in the summer of 2004 and in Jinju, South Korea in the summer of 2005.

"The First Story of Joseph in Turkic Islamic Literature: A Study in Acculturation"
This dissertation concerns a thirteenth century epic poem, its placement in the context of Islamic Civilization and an axiological analysis of the poem from the point of view of the acculturation of the Turks as they came into the Near East.
