July 2011 – Present – News Producer, Department of Communication Studies, Montclair State University. Teach Electronic Journalism, produce content for Univeristy special projects and assist in the planning for the new School of Communication Studies and Media Arts.

January2001 – Present – Director, McCarthy Productions, Inc. Produce/Shoot documentaries and news stories for NBC News "Today," “Dateline,” CBS News “60 Minutes,” "CBS Evening News," CNBC, MSNBC, PBS (WETA, "Now"), "Dan Rather Reports" and Charlie Rose. Stories included interviews with Syrian President Bashir Assad, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, as well as a documentary about Jihadis going to Iraq. December 1998 –January 2001– Senior Producer, CNN, “CNN&Time.” Duties include: Managing production team, producing stories including profile of Austrian far-right leader Jorg Haider, human rights investigations in Kosovo refugee camps and Time Magazine special “Time Person of the Year.”

April 1996 – December 1998 - Producer, CBS News, “60 Minutes,” “Public Eye with Bryant Gumbel” and “48 Hours.” Stories included: interview with Mommar Qaddaffi for Mike Wallace, corruption in the Washington, D.C. police department for Ed Bradley, and stories with Bernard Goldberg and Morley Safer.

June 1993 - March 1996- Producer, NBC News, “Dateline,” “Now with Tom Brokaw and Katie Couric,” and NBC News Political Unit. Stories included: “Trading Places,” a Vietnam Vet story for Tom Brokaw, Profiles of Jerry Lewis and Bobby Knight for Bob Costas, “Firefighter” about a fireman’s widow for Fred Francis (Winner, 1996 Emmy) and 1996 campaign coverage with David Bloom.

January 1991-May 1993 - Co-Producer, Fox Television. Developed reality pilot “Firehouse.” (Aired February, March 1993) Pitched concept, directed, wrote and produced pilot. Co-Produced “America’s Most Wanted,” managed News and Features Department, writing and directing 16mm film dramatic recreations.

January 1990-January 1991 - Producer, CBS News. “Saturday Night w/Connie Chung” & “America Tonight.” Connie Chung, Lesley Stahl and Charles Kuralt.

June 1988 - January 1990 - Producer, “USA Today on TV.” Directed and produced segments for the nationally syndicated program.

June 1981-June 1988 - CBS News, New York and Washington. Rose from Office Clerk to Associate Producer. “Up to the Minute,” CBS Radio, “Morning News,” “Nightwatch,” “Face the Nation” and the Political Unit, Campaign ‘88.
