Although this contract identifies specific sites and/or services, it is hereby agreed and understood that the County may at its option add new sites and/or services to the contract.
  1. Should the County determine that additional sites need to be added to a previously awarded group, a request for pricing shall be obtained from the awarded bidder servicing that group. If the County determines that the price(s) submitted by the awarded bidder are not fair and reasonable, the County reserves the right to acquire price quotes from all the awarded bidders under this contract.
  2. Should additional groups need to be added to the contract, price quotes will be obtained from all the awarded bidders under this contract. If the County determines that the prices submitted by the bidders are not competitive, the County reserves the right to acquire the services through a separate solicitation.

Sites may be deleted when services are no longer required during the contract period; upon written notice to the awarded bidder.
  1. Site Modification
Should a site require modifications of any kind, a request for pricing shall be obtained from the awarded bidder servicing that group. I. PURCHASING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Award Description

Awarded vendors shall furnish all labor associate with the inspection, testing, monitoring, emergency repairs and maintenance services to fire alarm systems at County Facilities.

  1. Monitoring Service ( Re: ITB Paragraph 3.1.A.1)

The vendor’s monthly charge for monitoring service of the Fire Alarm System, and all of the systems Alarm Initiating Devices, Alarm Notification Appliances, and Supervisory signal-Initiating Devices, shall include the provision of runner service as described byMiami-DadeCountyCode, Section 14-66.

The vendor shall provide all services as required by the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA standards (Adopted Edition), the Florida Fire Prevention Code, the Florida Administration Code, Chapter 69A-48, and the manufacturer’s specification.

  1. Maintenance and Repair Projects ( Re: ITB Paragraph 2:13)

Awarded vendor(s) shall be required to submit a written estimate for each maintenance/repair project under this contract before a work order for that specific project is issued. These estimates shall be at no additional charge to the county and shall be provided within seven (7) calendar days of the request. The actual charge to the County from an awarded vendor for a specific project shall not exceed the bidder's initial estimate without the expressed prior approval from an authorized agent of the County.

  1. Emergency Services (Re: ITB Paragraph 2.14)

Awarded vendor(s) shall provide 24 hours, 7 days a week emergency service to the County under the resulting contract. During regular working hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, emergency service response time (defined as the time from acknowledged notification to arrival on-site) shall be within two (2) hours after notification by the County. After regular working hours, the emergency response time, as defined above, shall be within four (4) hours after notification by the County. The invoice for this emergency service should list the name of the County representative that requested the emergency.

  1. Subcontracting is allowed (Re: ITB Paragraph (2.26)
  1. All quotations issued must be provided to the Small Business Development Division (SBD) of the Internal Services Department for placement on the Cone of Silence Report upon advertisement. Once an award recommendation is made, SBD must be notified in order to remove the competition from the report.
