a)  WHO---Quien vs quienes---if you are asking about one person, you use “quien”. If you are asking about more than one person, you use “quienes”. Ex: Quien es ella vs quienes son ellas

b)  WHOSE---De quien vs de quienes—if you are asking about one item, you use “de quien”. If you are asking about more than 1 item, you use “de quienes”. Ex: De quien es el libro vs de quienes son los libros

c)  HOW MUCH/MANY---Cuanto/a/os/as---1) The question word has to match the word next to it..they have the same ending. Ex: Cuantos libros, cuantas personas, cuanto tiempo, cuanta pera 2) Normally, you do question word + verb then everything else. But, with this question word, a noun follows first, then the verb. Ex: Cuantas personas comen aqui?

This is also true of the question word “qué tipo de + noun + verb” . These two questions require a noun to follow, then the verb.

d)  3 Wheres-----1) donde(asks where something is located) 2) adonde(asks where someone is going 3) de donde(asks where someone is from
