Assessment:

There will be between 5 and 8 homework assignments. These are worth 10% of the final grade.

Labs will be worth 20% of the final grade. Attendance in labs is mandatory.

A final data analysis project will be due at the end of the semester. I will hand out possible projects in mid-September. A choice should be made by the end of September (September 29, to be exact). A rough draft will be due at the end of October, and the final draft will be due the last day of class (November 30). The project is worth 20% of the final grade.

Two mid-term exams and the final will be take-home exams. The mid-term exams will take place from Wednesday, October 4 until Friday, October 6 and from Wednesday, November 8 to Friday, November 10. The final exam will be due on Friday, December 8. Each mid-term exam is worth 15%, and the final is worth 20% of the final grade.
