BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF CONTRACT:

Contract for the purchase of Vacuum Cleaners for the UW Madison, Inner City Asthma Consortium (ICAC).

ICAC is a multi-study, multi-center initiative to study the causes of the urban asthma epidemic afflicting millions of children and to develop treatments to improve control of asthma in this population and for children in general. ICAC studies often involve collecting dust samples from study participant homes to identify allergens present in the environment. Key characteristics of the vacuums include portability, compatibility with the DUSTREAM™ dust collection device, and high efficiency exhaust filtration, preferably HEPA-level. Specifications have been provided and model and manufacturer have been listed for a vacuum purchased previously by ICAC
