MK Dons SET is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional to deliver youth and vocational learning linked to sport; including our 11aside/futsal programme and apprentices. Applicants should be either working towards a teaching qualification or already qualified with a Cert Ed or PGCE in a relevant subject and experience of teaching in a variety of settings.

RESPONSIBLE TO: / Education Manager (Youth & Vocational)

JOB PURPOSE

To be responsible for delivery of youth and vocational learning linked to sport; including our futsal programme and apprentices

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.  To develop, motivate and lead a cohort of students

2.  To supervise support staff and volunteers

3.  To teach the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport curriculum to students

4.  To support GLH and assess apprentices in Sport Development Level 3 Apprenticeship Framework

5.  To raise aspirations, continually improve attainment and ensure that absenteeism is low amongst the learners.

6.  To implement the code of conduct for the centre and ensure that student behaviour is exemplary

7.  To develop and improve relationships with students and stakeholders

8.  To set objectives for individual pupils based on their particular needs

9.  To write parental reports

10.  To support students to volunteer and gain valuable vocational experience

11.  To organise and run extra-curricular activities

12.  To forge strong links with schools, colleges, universities, MK Dons FC academy and grassroots leagues and football clubs in order to recruit, retain and develop students

13.  To develop new relationships with potential students and stakeholders.

14.  Plan and coordinate open evenings and parents evenings

15.  Commit to relevant CPD

16.  To ensure necessary records are kept, maintained and health and safety guidelines are met

17.  To collect and manage feedback in order to positively affect future performance

18.  To participate in team and performance review meetings

19.  To develop internal relationships within the Trust and MK Dons FC

20.  To proactively seek and suggest new areas of educational development

21.  To develop, protect and enhance the SET brand

22.  To carry out any other duties as required which are commensurate with the level of the post
