Stage 5: Time for a Trim

You have made your bi-weekly trip for a trim. Just as you are seated in the barber chair looking out the window when you observe six longhaired retro types grabbling two patrons before invading the shop. They have come well armed and their intentions have nothing to do with a badly needed haircut.

Designer: HSC MD

Location: Bay 4

Scoring: Vickers (12)

Setup: 6 IDPA targets, 2 non-threats,

Directions: Your gun is loaded to IDPA, and you are seated on the Barber Chair, with barber smock over your regular cover garment. On signal engage the targets with 1 round each while seated, and then move to cover and reengage with 1 or more rounds. All reloads must be behind cover. All shots from cover must be in tactical priority. Shooter may engage the targets from the barber chair in any order.

S.O. load the shooter before they are seated on the chair, then after seated the shooter puts their hands on their lap, then the smock is draped over the shooter by the SO and cannot be touched till the starting signal is given. Moving hands prior to the start signal is also a procedural.

Stage 6: Bar Brawl in Brooksville

Designer: Richard Appelton

Location: Bay 4

Scoring: Vickers (14)

Setup: 7 IDPA targets, knife, shotgun, table, bar, steel with attached target frame.

Directions: handgun with magazine, inserted but no round in the chamber placed on the lower shelf of table C. Shotgun in the middle of the bar (position B), loaded with 1 round and facing toward the west. Shooter starts at position A facing T1 with knife in hand. On signal the shooter stabs T1, picks up the shotgun and shoots PP1, then moves to the end of the bar with the empty shotgun (muzzle up or downrange), puts the shotgun down on the table, recovers their gun from under the table and using cover engages T2-T7 with two rounds each.

S.O. Safety officer loads the shotgun before the shooter goes down range. Safety will be off, muzzle pointed away from the shooter and SO. S.O. should position themselves so they are not trapped between the shooter and table C during the start of the stage.
