STAFF APPLICATION 2015-2016

The Acronym is IMSA’s official school newspaper, offering accurate, engaging, and relevant journalism to the IMSA community. Writers are expected to write articles, attend all staff meetings and promote the Acronym around campus. Section Editors will be expected to edit articles, lead their sections to new heights, and organize section meetings.

Rising juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply.

The IMSA News section provides hot news stories pertaining to IMSA life. The section has garnered attention for producing content-based articles and moving beyond time-sensitive event hypes and summaries.

World Outlook offers world news with a more personalized twist. Articles in this section are dedicated to politics, sports, science and technology, business and more!

Opinions offers alternative perspectives to a wide variety of topics. Opinions generates thought-provoking and controversial articles.

Arts & Entertainment brings thorough, critical reviews of popular culture, including music, manga, movies, and more. Through these critical analyses, the Entertainment section looks to not merely summarize occurrences, but to identify areas of potential improvement and praise areas of demonstrated excellence.

Lifestyle publishes articles rooted in actual life. These subjects range from home life, DIY guides, fashion ideas, and more.

And lastly, introducing Satire! Our brand new section aims to examine IMSA life on and off campus by publishing critical, yet humorous articles and/or artwork.
