Mini Soccer & Youth Tournament

We would like to invite you to our second annualMini Soccer and Youth Football Tournament to be held on Saturday,12thMay 2018at the Priory School, Dorking playing fields, West Bank, Dorking RH4 3DG. Entrance to the tournament is strictly by invitation from the appropriate year group coordinator.

Our tournament is distinct from many others by way of running both ‘A’ and ‘B’ friendly leagues for the younger groups, allowing you to bring along your whole squad and give them all a chance to play in a competition against equitable opposition.We would prefer you to enter two teams to participate in the tournament. Each league will have a maximum of 6 teams.

This is anAmateur FA sanctioned tournament. All matches will be 10 minutes long, one way with no half time interval. A full time-table, set of rules and other details will be available in the programme on the day, but in the meantime if you have any questions, please contact the relevant year group co-ordinator, see below for contact details.

The U6, U8, U10 & U12’s will play in the morning and U7, U9, U11 and U13’s will play in the afternoon. Following FA Guidelines, U6 and U7 matches will be 5-a-side. All other age groups will be 6-a-side.

Eachteam will play each other in their respective leagues in a round-robin arrangement so teams will play a maximum of 5 games. All clubs must be affiliated to their local FA and all players must be registered with their current clubs, players may not be switched between ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams. All participants taking part will receive a memento at a presentation ceremony after the league games. For theU6, U7 and U8 level the games will be played as a series of friendly games with no results recorded. For the U9’s to U13’s the results will establish the overall league winners. There will be ‘winners’ trophies and medals for U9’s to U13 age groups.

Free parking is provided at the playing fields and entry for all adult spectatorsincluding coachesand will cost £3 including a programme listing all of the teams competing and the match schedules. We are planning to have a refreshment tent, coffee van, BBQ, professional photographer, ice-cream vendor and other facilities available on the day. Professional first aid cover will be provided.

The playing times and rules will be confirmedby your year representative two weeks prior to the tournament.

Registration before 31st January 2018is £35 per individual team, (i.e.£70 for an A and B team).

Registration after that date is £40 per individual team, (i.e. £80 for an A and B team).
