SPPS PARENT’S CLUB MEETING….Thursday, December 8th, 8:10 AM at the school. All are welcome and encouraged to come.

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL…Our Christmas concert will be a Christmas musical this year. It will be at 7 PM on December 15th at the Community Hall. Preschool will open the musical in song, and K-8th students will all take part in the musical in various ways. We look forward to seeing you there!

**AFTER MUSICAL HELP NEEDED….There will be a need for 7-10 parents with a couple of pickup trucks to help clean up after the program on December 15th and haul things back to the school. Please let the office know if you are able to help out.

CALLING ALL BAKERS…The Parent’s Club will be serving light refreshments on December 15th after the program. If you can donate a dozen cookies, please let the office know. You can either bring them to school the day of the program or with you that evening. Thank You!

AMAZON SHOPPING… Christmas is coming and many will be ordering online through Amazon. Remember to make the St. Paul Parochial School website www.saintpaulparochial.org your first stop. Simply click on the Amazon.com link on the homepage. It will take you right to Amazon.com. Shop as you normally would, and SPPS will receive 10% of your purchase amount!

ACCREDITATION NEWS… We are now working on our last chapter of the Accreditation Self Study document. We will then be evaluating all areas to identify goals and create a new action plan for implementing new programs and activities.

SCRIP… There is only ONE more date to complete a Scrip order before Christmas. Orders will be submitted on Tuesday, December 13th. Orders will arrive by the Friday after the order is placed. Please see updated Scrip order form in the attachments. Also, there is a special Regal $10 gift card that is not listed on the form. Quantities are limited, so don’t delay!

PRAESIDIUM ONLINE TRAINING…Every year the Archdiocese requires volunteers that have a current background check and work with students 4 or more times year to do an Child Protection online training. The training this year is: “Social Media Safety-Protecting the Youths in Your Care”. The complete the course go to: www.praesidiuminc.com, click on the “Armatus online training” in the top right hand corner and sign in.

The sign in is: ID: first name initial, last name (ex: asmith); PW: 2 digit birth month, then 2 digit day, then OR (ex: 0116or). You will find the list of courses on the left. Scroll down to find the one you are to take and click on it. Continue through the course until you are done. Once you have completed the course, it will automatically register your completion. If you have any questions or trouble signing in, please contact the office. This needs to be done by the end of December. Thank you for helping to keep our students safe!

YEARBOOK INFO….This year we are excited to announce again that you will be able to upload pictures directly to our yearbook program, Lifetouch Online Yearbooks. Uploaded pictures will be considered, but not necessarily guaranteed to be used in the yearbook. Thank you for your understanding. Here is the following link: community.lifetouch.com. The access code is EXLECS. Follow the step online to begin the uploading process. Please upload high quality pictures in a JPEG format and select the best pictures from the particular event. For example, rather than uploading 20 pictures from the pumpkin patch, we are asking for 2-3 pictures. Photos need to be at least 300 dpi to ensure acceptable print quality. In other words, some phones and iPad photos will not work for this program. Also, please make sure to upload pictures to the correct online folder and please add a detailed description of the picture(s) being uploaded. Thanks you! ST. PAUL PARISH BREAKFAST… Sunday December 11th…Come and enjoy breakfast at the St. Paul Community Hall on Sunday, December 11th from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. Enjoy scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes and homemade blueberry compote! Juice, coffee, milk. Adults $6, Children (ages 6 to 12) $4, Family $24. Shop the Country Store’s homemade treats and crafts. Raffle includes a lighted Christmas Star made by Andrea Sonnen, 1/2 ham, lap quilt or basket to ring in the New Year: 6 tickets for $5.

-Wednesday, December 7th – Public School Winter Band Concert (for our 6th & 7th graders)

6 PM students meet at the Elementary School. Concert 6:15-6:45. Please wear black and/or white nice clothes.

-Tuesday, December 13th – SAC meeting, 7 PM

-Thursday, December 15th – Christmas Concert/Play, 7 PM at the Community Hall

-Monday, December 19th & Tuesday, December 20th – NO Public School bus or Hot Lunch. Students will need to bring a cold lunch on Monday. NO lunch at school on Tuesday, 11 AM Dismissal.

-Tuesday, December 20th – 11 AM Dismissal

-Wednesday, December 21st – Monday, January 2nd – No School….Christmas Break

-Tuesday, January 3rd – School Resumes
