Class Teacher ITT – required for 2017/18 Academic Year

Set in the beautiful Surrey Hills, St Joseph’s is a creative and innovative learning environment for children and young people aged 5-19, many of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum and with severe learning difficulties, additional and complex needs including challenging behaviour. Most learners are between P4 and NC2.

We are looking to appoint a full time class teacher, thus ensuring continuity of quality teaching at all times. Applications from teachersqualified to Initial Teacher Training (ITT) level are invited. Applicants should have experience of, or an interest in, SEN and will take responsibility for classes of up to 8 learners supported by a team of staff including an HLTA, TAs and Therapists.All experienced Teachers are expected to take on leadership of a subject and this will be discussed on an individual basis at interview.

This role will attract a salary based on Teachers’ Main Pay Range T1 – T10(£17,542 - £26,293pa) dependent on skills and experience. In addition, an SEN allowance of £2,085pa is payable.
