‘Love one another as I have loved you’

John 13:34

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a fantastic end to the week with the PTFA Disco – it was lovely to see so many children dressed in their finest and strutting their stuff on the dance floor! We Raised £197.60.

Well done to Reception for winning the ‘Penny Wars’ with £28.86. In total we raised £135.24 - that is fantastic, double previous Penny Wars! The winners enjoyed a fabulous cinema experience and snacks. Have a wonderful half term and we hope to see you all safe and well on Monday 27th February!

Positive BehaviourPolicy Changes

Don’t forget to check the website to familiarise yourselves with the slight changes to our Positive Behaviour Procedures. They come into effect from Monday 27th February – we hope you hear all the wonderfulrewards your children have earned in showing their ‘Golden’ behaviours. Once the actual policy is updated a copy will be available on the school website as well as from the office.

Barrie the Punctuation Show

At very short notice we were given an opportunity to send twoof our classes over to St Peter’s to watch an interactive show all about ‘punctuation’. I hear it was great and the children all came back talking about it. Staff tell me that their behaviour was first class – something you should be very proud of.

Animal Visitors

Our Reception had some very special visitors this week in the form of furry and scaly friends. They were lucky enough to have an owl and a snake to meet and handle. All the children were thrilled to get up close to these wonderful creatures.

Church Coffee Morning – School Council Chat

We had some wonderful feedback from the Church Community Coffee morning regarding our School Council’s visit. They read with and chatted to the ladies and told them all about the great things St John’s CE Primary gets up to. Let’s hope this is the first of many!
