- APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
- MINUTES OF MEETING – Signed as correct
- Matters Arising:- Discussions took place about the different strategies that are taking place at CCG level and at other workshops in regards to 7 day working and shaping the services for the future. The Patient Forum feels that until better direction and confirmed plans are in place it is not something that the patient forum wishes to continue to have as an agenda item. It is felt that discussions have been taking place now for over 2 years with very little outcome, therefore this item will be removed for this forum.
3.St Helens pharmacist – Pembe:- Pembe outlined her role here at St Helens which is to assist with GP workload. To achieve this Pembe has already worked alongside the community pharmacies and streamlined the Pharmacy First Service and UTI Service. The surgery will now be able to signpost patients more effectively to the pharmacies in our area. Pembe also carries out 1-2-1 consultation with patients to assist with Hospital Discharges, medication reviews and looking into any other medication/prescription queries. Pembe works Tuesday – Thursday each week and is currently funded by the CCG until 2018
4.Bembridge Parish Council: - Jo has met with the Bembridge Parish Council with Debbie and we had a very positive meeting. It was explained to the Council why the requestfor one of their members to join was declined. The Council now have full understanding.
- ILS meetings – Clarification on what these are :- As minuted in matters arising the Forum now longer wishes for these items to be on the agenda. The Forum wishes for the St Helens Surgery matters to be discussed.
- OPEN FORUM:- Members of the Forum have asked for Jo to clarify the aspect of confidentiality for the Forum. It was agreed that matters that arise for the Forum meeting would follow the protocol of being confidential and if any items needed to be feedback to relevant authorities then this would follow a formal process that would be led by the Surgery. All agreed
- DATE OF NEXT MEETING: - 26th July 2017
