- Reviewed Accounting Reports for August
a)Parish YTD donation to school - $85,000.
- Principal’s Report.
a)Board meeting training date Oct. 25th at St. Ann’s Catholic School.
b)Oct. 16th early release – report cards printed.
c)Gradelink new this year.
i)Integration with teacher’s web page possible.
ii)Can print report cards from site.
(1)2nd-4th nine week grades will only be online.
d)Michelle Leggett consulting every 6 weeks – Technology.
e)Volleyball tourney coming up.
f)Sat. Nov. 1st – 1st PK3 Play date organized by Ms. Canino.
i)Plan to continue every other month.
ii)At Zoo this month.
g)Fire prevention month and red ribbon week coming up.
- Pastor’s Report.
a)No complaints about new gate system.
b)Need a classroom for next year.
i)Possible stage conversion.
c)Vision Committee is meeting tonight at 7pm for planning.
i)Double size of school and classrooms.
d)CCE full – need classrooms.
e)Elections for Pastoral council will be in Nov.
f)60 kids baptized this month.
g)Population of SHCC increasing each month.
h)Temporary building not an option due to potential building removal issues.
- President’s report
a)Congratulations to Father Jim on his milestone 40th ordination anniversary and his installation as Pastor at St. Helen Catholic Church.
b)Saturday October 25, 2014 Archdiocesan school board training from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic School.
i)Still no word on Board award.
c)Msgr. Braden Dinner Dance will be February 7, 2015 “Night on the Red Carpet”. Shannon Dorhwardt and Paola Stanford chairpersons for the event.
d)Vote for parishioner school board position. Ann Strouhal has accepted a nomination after period of discernment and consideration.

ii)On Thursday, October 2, 2014, SHCS held a golf tournament at Silvercrest Country Club in Pearland. Mrs. Ashae Kubicek was the lead on this for this event. There were 18 teams in all, several volunteers who made this event very successful. The numbers will be released soon.
iii)The ham sales started this month for Athletics and label collections have started as well.
iv)Next month, November, dress passes sales will begin for “free” dress from Nov 17-20 for all who paid for a dress pass.
