Report from Co-Chairs / School purchased 9 listening centres that will be used for students in JK- Gr 2. Approval in the amount of $3801.38 required from CSPC members.
Beth Pritchard moved that $3801.38 be paid to purchase learning centres. 25 approved, 2 opposed.
Motion PASSED
To date approx. $3500 has been collected from the Dance-a-thon.
Only two fundraisers will be held this school year – Dance-a-thon and Family Fun Fair. / Co-Chairs BETH PRITCHARD and LISA LOFFT

Snack /Nutrition Program
  • Program started on Oct 26/2015
  • Everyone will receive item from 3 food groups-veg/fruit; dairy and grain
  • Staff is aware of allergies
  • Lynda Horgan and Fran Baiocco-Dong are Coordinators
  • Can a month –at-a-glance calendar be available
Candy Drive
  • Oct 30-Nov 5
  • Collecting nut-free candy that is donated by students to support “Canadian Food for Children”
Book Fair
  • Nov 10-12 at 8:45 – 3:30 (students only) and Nov 12 5:30-8:30 (parents/students and guardians)
  • Parent volunteers required
  • All proceeds go to the school library
  • Flyer will be sent out with students
Upcoming Events/Important Dates
  • Nov 19/15 Toronto Police will be meeting with Gr 1-6
  • Nov 24/2015 Social Media Safety Presentation for Gr 6-8 and Parents 6:30 pm-8 pm. CPSC meeting will be held afterwards 8 pm – 9 pm.
  • Newsletter will go out week
  • A Day in the Life of a Loretto College Student will be held on 4/11/2015. Gr 8 students can attend.
  • St. Joseph’s College is having an “I am a Joe’s Girl” day on Nov 4/2015-same day as Loretto. VP advised that he would contact school and possibly book another date.

Parent/Teacher Interview
  • November 12 and 13.
  • Appointment time will be attached to each report card. All students will receive an appointment time to meet with their child’s teacher
  • Interview appointments will no longer be available online as this was an expense that was paid for by the school
