Eligibility Requirements

If you have licensed SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (32-bit version) through a retail channel, you are eligible to receive the media for SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) (Open License customers should contact their reseller/distributor and Select and EA Customers should contact their Large Account Reseller (LAR)). Customers are eligible for one (1)SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) media set for each single set of SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (32-bit) proof of purchase items. (Please see below under “Retail Customer Requirements” for details.). Note that current / new purchases of SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition, retail boxed product, should include media for both the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version and so this fulfillment should not be required.

Instructions for ordering the media

To receive the SQL Server 2000 (64-bit) media, simply complete the Retail Media Redemption Form (below) and mail it, along with your proof of purchase items, to the address listed in the Retail Media Redemption Form.

Retail Customer Requirements

To qualify for this offer, you must provide the following proof of purchase items with a completed Retail Media Redemption Form:

A photocopy of a dated sales receipt for your SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition license purchase. (Verify that it is legible, and includes the reseller / retailer identity information and the purchase date.); and
The complete, original Certificate of Authenticity with the Bar Codes (located on the bottom of the package).

Licensing Information

This offer does NOT constitute the grant of any additional SQL Server licenses. Also, your receipt and possession of the media for SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) does not constitute the grant of any additional SQL Server licenses. The license(s) you purchased for SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (32-bit) will allow you to run either SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (32-bit) or SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) but not both simultaneously. If you wish to run both SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (32-bit) and SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) simultaneously, you must possess a separate SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition license(s) for the 32-bit version and a separate SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition license(s) for the 64-bit version.
