Sermon Notes:

Zacchaeus - He Knows My Name

Luke 19:1-10

ZACCHAEUS was an Emotionally Needy Person.

A Definition:Wanting or needing affection, attention, or reassurance, especially to an excessive degree.

I believe this describes ZACCHAEUS.

Emotionally Needy People like ZACCHAEUS needed ten things:

1. Accepted

2. Believed in

3. Cared about

4. Forgiven

5. Loved

6. Safe

7. Supported

8. Trusted

9. Understood

10. Valued (Includes appreciated)

ZACCHAEUS Thought: “Maybe, Just Maybe, The God Man Could Help”

I believe that Zach had got wind of what had taken place earlier: Go back and look at Luke 18: The Pharisee is condemned and the Tax Collector comes out on top.

WHAT ZACCHAEUS FOUND IN JESUS

A) He FOUND SOMEONE THAT: KNEW HIS NAME

B) He FOUND ACCEPTANCE

C) He FOUND FORGIVENESS

D) He FOUND RESTORATION

Next Sunday Morning, May 7th

Special sermon emphasis on Alzheimer’s and Dementia
