Baseball and Fast Pitch Softball

Registrations are now being accepted for the Fall 2010 season for the following age divisions:

T-Ball (age 4-6 by April 30, 2011)
6 U Softball (age 5-6 as of January 1, 2011) / Majors* (age 11-12 by April 30, 2011)
12 U Softball (age 11 – 12 as of January 1, 2011)
Rookies (age 7-8 by April 30, 2011)
8 U Softball (age 7-8 as of January 1, 2011) / Babe Ruth (age 13-15 by April 30, 2011)
16 U Softball (age 13 – 16 as of January 1, 2011)
Minors (age 9-10 by April 30, 2011)
10U Softball (age 9-10 as of January 1, 2011) / Seniors (age 16-18 or not born before 1992)

*The Major Division plays ‘Real Baseball’ with 70 foot base paths and leadoffs!

Saturday, August 7th & 14thSkill’s Evaluation Day (see times below). Registrations accepted if space available.

Candyland Park is located at 599 Longdale Avenue in Longwood, FL.

Please note that all divisions were full in the Spring. The League will likely be full for the Fall Season, so return your registration form quickly to guarantee a spot on a team! Late registrations may be placed on a waiting list.

Skills Evaluation Day (All players MUST attend one day and WILL be drafted to a team) Baseball & Softball:

Saturday, August 7th and 14th at CandylandPark (Please arrive 45 minutes before your start time)

Rookies & 8u Softball (league age 7-8): 9:00am Babe Ruth(league age 13-15): 10:00am

Minors & 10u Softball (league age 9-10): 10:30am Majors & 12u Softball (league age 11-12): 12:00pm

16u Softball (league age 13-15): 1:00pm

IMPORTANT NOTE: All players participating in the skills evaluation on draft tryout day WILL be drafted to ateam as longasslots remain available. In the FALL ALL PLAYERS ARE DRAFTED ONTO NEW TEAMS.

Registration Fees: (Please make checks payable to ‘Longwood Babe Ruth’ or ‘LBR’)

T-Ball: $50 (Free to first time T-Ball players in LBR boundaries)
6U Fastpitch: $65 (Free to first time 6U players in LBR boundaries) / Minor/Major: $90
10 U Fastpitch Softball: $95
Rookie: $75
8U Fastpitch Softball: $85 / Babe Ruth/Senior: $100
12U/16U Fastpitch: $100

****** Longwood Babe Ruth is an all volunteer organization and we depend on all parents to help the league operate. Parents are expected to volunteer approximately 3-4 hours per season working in the concession stand and Fun Day booth on Opening Day during their child’s assigned coverage times.******
