IDS/PACE SCHEDULE - FALL 2017
FALL 2017 Semester begins August 19, 2017
To register for classes for Fall 2017, you must
· Call the IDS/PACE office (310-243-3640) to make an advising appointment
· Review your IDS Major and/or Minor requirements on your mycsudh “Academic Requirements” page
· Meet with your advisor to assure that you are continuing to fulfill all requirements for graduation
After your advising is complete, and your academic advisor has lifted the registration hold
· Know the date when you can first register—sometime on or after April 24, 2017
· Register on mycsudh as soon as you are able (help us avoid having classes cancelled!)
· When the semester begins, check room assignments to be sure you know the final classroom locale
· PAY YOUR FEES ON TIME, OR YOU WILL BE DROPPED FROM ALL YOUR CLASSES!
We have two separate sessions of Saturday and Wednesday courses. Please check to confirm which start-date applies. Saturday classes begin on August 19, 2017 and on October 14, 2017; Wednesday classes start on August 23, 2017 and on October 11, 2017

NOTE: All Saturday classes from IDS and LBR are now classified as “hybrid” courses. University policy defines a hybrid course as “one which integrates on-line with traditional face to face activities….[and] in which a portion not less than one third nor more than two thirds of face to face time is replaced by online activities” (AAAP029.001). Please be aware that, in accord with university policy, reduced time in the classroom must be balanced by additional out-of-class hours of instruction done online.
“Traditional” classes meet for approximately 45 hours. This means that, in a hybrid course where you spend approximately 28 hours in class, the remaining 17 hours of “instructional activity” have to be offered online outside of the classroom. Regular homework assignments, readings, etc. are additional.
