The SPN Annual Meeting is the premier event for the free-market, state think-tank community

Why attend the SPN Annual Meeting?

  • You have an interest in working for liberty at the state & local level
  • Opportunity to meet more than 500 fantastic, like-minded people – and be energized!
  • Get the latest information about the successes and challenges across the country
  • You have ideas to share about how to do outreach to young people

Application guidelines

  1. Applicants can be:
  2. current or former interns of SPN members and associate members
  3. active members of Students For Liberty
  4. To be eligible, an applicant must be at least 21,and under 30, as of Nov. 1.
  5. Preference will be given to applicants who can attend all, or most, of the Annual Meeting.
  6. Submit your application promptly: Acceptances will be made on a rolling basis.
  7. Applications must be submitted to SPN on or before Sept. 21.
  8. Applicants will be notified of their status by Sept. 25
  9. Flights must be booked on / before Oct.6
  10. If travel plans are not made by Oct.6, space may be awarded to another applicant.
  11. Travel reimbursement checks will be distributed after the Annual Meeting to those who have fulfilled basic Meeting requirements (described below).
  12. SPN will handle room reservations.

What Generation Liberty Fellowship recipients receive

  1. Up to $650 toward travel expenses (mileage is reimbursed at IRS rates, up to cost of comparable flight), which includes home airport parking, or shuttle / taxi to home airport; shuttle service to/from the local airport and hotel.
  2. Double-occupancy lodging (room incidentals, such as Internet, movies, room service, etc. are the responsibility of GLF recipients).
  3. Breakfast, lunch and dinner during the Annual Meeting.

Participationrequirements

Those selected to attend the SPN Annual Meeting, to receive their travel reimbursement,agree to attend:

  • a shortorientation;
  • the youth outreach roundtable discussion;
  • one or both of the other sessions geared toward youth; and
  • all mealswhile at the event.

Attendees must also complete a post-event survey.
