Spiritual Directors Conference:
On 19th of April, at the SalvationChurch, Dadar, 38 of our Priests / Religious attended the Conference. His Lordship Bishop Bosco Penha began with a Gospel sharing. Fr. Alvaro shared his personal experience and the relation that a Spiritual Director has with the Legion. Bishop Bosco then, explained the ‘Duties of the Sp Director’ from the Handbook Ch. 34.1
Group Discussion covered topics on:
1 General Observations on the functioning of the Legion.
2 Are you able to ensure that in the process of their work, the Legionaries grow in Holiness?
3. In what ways could this process be strengthened?
4. The Legion and SCCs.
The discussion ended with Sr. Janet giving a summary on the Government of the Legion and the areas of extension covered by the Regia, through a Power Point presentation.

THE LEGION CONGRESS
The Immaculata Junior Curia (Bombay Curia) Congress was held on October 27, 2011 at the Salvation Seva Kendra Hall, SalvationChurch, Dadar West. 90 Junior and Senior Legionaries participated. The programme began with Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Frank Fernandes, the Parish Priest of RosaryChurch, Dockyard. At the beginning of the Eucharist he dwelt upon the theme of the Congress which was “Mary in the IT World” as the keynote address.
In his homily he spoke about the need by our Junior Legionaries to connect the Legion apostolate and the use of modern technology, namely the face book, internet, skype, I pod etc. to know what is going on in various parts of the world about the Legion and update ourselves about various Legion works carried out by other Legionaries. He said it is important for us to communicate and interact to keep ourselves united to the mission of Mary.
Sr. Janet Mendonca further dwelt on the theme and shared her experiences as a Legionary and the various instances of Mary helping out in the mission of her son specially the wedding at Cana and the Visitation of her Cousin Elisabeth. She insisted that we give of our best as Legionaries and the Legion mirrors Mary her life and her mission. Group discussion followed on the question given on the theme.
The Second Session was a talk given by Fr. Mario Mendes on Vocations. In his talk he spoke on various personalities of the Bible Moses, Samuel and Jeremiah and made use of these examples to highlight the need to foster vocations among legionaries. Group discussions followed on the questions given by him.
There was A Poster display on Challenging works
This was followed by Question & Answer session on the Legion System. The Panel consists of Bro. Vincent Pereira, Bro. Dominic D’Souza and Bro. John Dias.
The Legion Congress ended with the concluding prayer

Br JB Fernandes completed 50 years in the Legion, he was facilitated after the Regia meeting in august.
As it was Vianney Sunday, we sang for our Spiritual Director Fr Alvaro Nazareth after the August Regia meeting.
