SPECIFICATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL POSTER DESIGN COMPETITION
1. THEME
"PAYING RESPECT TO ATATÜRK AT 5 PAST 9" EVENT WITHIN THE SCOPE OF "PEACE AT HOME, PEACE IN THE WORLD"
2. SCOPE
· To understand Great Leader Atatürk, carry his ideas into future,
· To ensure that the young generations protect the peace by walking on the bright road he has shown.
· To universalize as a world leader.
· To commemorate the Paying Respect to Atatürk chain event considered to be held each year,
· To ensure popularization of the ceremony and increase participation,
· To provide the printing of posters qualified to be awarded by the selection committee, to ensure that the posters considered exhibition worthy to be released to the public with an exhibition, to use the winning poster in Five past Nine Respect Chain announcements, billboards.
3. CONTEST RULES
a. The competition is open to all professional and amateur participants outside of the selection committee.
b. The competition can be entered with a maximum of three posters under different nickname.
c. The participants shall state the following in the signed participation form that they are obligated to submit to the voluntary council of Kadıköy Municipality;
that the posters are authentic and belong to them, the work(s) has not entered any other competition before and was not exhibited anywhere; and they accept the terms of this Specification. Works without the participation will not be put into perspective. (Posters that do not fulfill these conditions shall be excluded from the competition. Prize and exhibition will be canceled.)
d. All submitted posters will be free of charge and belong to the Municipality of Kadıköy for an indefinite period. Posters participating in the competition will not be returned. Kadıköy Municipality shall be entitled to publish these posters by way of television, internet and any other media environment, put into, publish and distribute as catalogs, brochures, posters, books, CDs, videos, and other media, send them to domestic and foreign training and cultural institutions.
e. Contestants will be deemed to have accepted the decisions of the contest terms and Selection Committee.
f. The use of technique and color for the poster is free and design shall be made within the framework of the four colors used at the print shops.
g. Posters shall be studied in the vertical dimension in 50x70 cm. "Respect To Atatürk At 5 Past 9 Chain" shall be used as oral message and "Peace At Home, Peace In The World" as word or phrase shall be used as theme supporting the visual design of the posters (no matter which country's language).
h. The posters shall be delivered in a CD prepared in one of the programs as Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, Corel, Adobe Photoshop in Windows or Mac for printing or be delivered to our specified address by courier (50x70cm. net print area for the poster shall be 48x68 cm). The document that will be prepared in at least 300 dpi resolutions in CMYK mode must be delivered / sent without any compression. Candidates can also, alternatively, send their posters through www.kadıkoy.bel.tr web site. Posters must be 50x70cm size, CMYK, 300 dpi and PDF file.
i. Kadıköy Municipality, in any event, if it deems necessary, can use its logo or logo of a sponsor and similar participation partners on the poster.
j. Posters that are delivered / arrived to the secretariat of Kadıköy Municipality Volunteer Education and Counseling Center after the specified date and time will not be included.
k. Name, signature and so on. indicating the identity of the competitor cannot be found on the poster.
l. Each poster shall be given a six-digit nickname by the competitor. The nickname shall be written on the package and behind the poster. Competitors entering with more than one poster shall issue a separate and closed identity envelope for each poster. On the closed envelope, the "NICKNAME" used and "International Poster Design Competition for Paying Respect to Atatürk" phrase shall be found. There shall not be any marks, writing on the envelope indicating the identity of the competitor. There shall be a participation form in the envelope including the participant's name, surname, place and year of birth, name of the institution studying or graduated from, student ID copy, short résumé, address, phone, mobile, fax, and e-mail address.
4. CALENDAR OF COMPETITION
Submission Deadline: September 27, 2013
Jury Assessment: October 26, 2013
Announcement of the results: October 28, 2013

It shall be carried out with the participation of all the works after November 10 Respect to Atatürk Chain.
Results shall be executed through Kadıköy Municipality's website and media organizations from the specified date.
