Unit Summary

This unit develops the learner’s knowledge and understanding of the use of picture diaries. They will be able to create a picture diary on a specific topic and review their own experience of this.

Indicative Content

Learning Outcome 1

1.2 Topic: relevant to family life/supporting child’s learning.

Learning Outcome 2

2.1 Different sources: may include using magazines, photographs, internet.

2.2 Plan: range, format, order, quantity, written content (from draft, proof, final version) etc.

2.3 Display: includes mounting, dating and labelling each entry as appropriate.

Assessment tasks will be devised to meet the needs of the learning group and to cover all the criteria.
